Odd, the closest I have gotten interacting with other eve human players was something like this:
Me"Yeah I like MMO's, specially EVE Online" in a party Random stranger at party: "Eve Online, how many SP's you have?" Me: "over 80mill (was a while ago)" RSP: " ..."
Never saw him again
I also met once a guy in RL that told me he played EVE Online, I told him I played EVE too ... never saw him again either ...
Meh, NO ONE PLAYS EVE ONLINE ... it's all an Illusion!!!!! Inner Sayings of BrujoLoco: http://eve-files.com/sig/brujoloco |

Only person I can think of who I talk to about EVE is my boyfriend.
He tried it, and hated it because he had no idea what to do (and whatever you want was not the right answer). So now, when I'm angry with him, I only talk about whats the latest with EVE. |

I am a real person who plays EVE... I think, therefore I am, not a bot...
And I have a fiance who understands that I play EVE when she talks about the wedding... and then feigns sympathy when I go AFK to talk to her and come back to a floating pod or a strange station...
I must admit its hilarious when I go flying in to the computer room on hearing my 75% shield warning, dropping whatever I'm doing...
I'm so carebear my Pod bleeds rainbow...

My wife is very supportive of my EVE habits but her eyes will glaze like a stoner in .3 seconds when I start talking about it. The second were around people I might be interested in talking to, she brings up my EVE podcast. Seriously?!? She uses EVE to shame me in public. The Pod Goo Podcast http://www.podgoo.com

I've met two people in my life who have played EvE, one is my brother, and the other a friend of mine who tried it out once before. My friend moved away a few days after I found out he played EvE. |

Oh man, I know the feeling, that's why I don't talk to anyone in my business about Eve, so it can never be used against me. |

For me, it's the dash into the computer room when I hear the shield low alarm.
Then the dash into the kitchen when I hear the smoke alarm.

There's a club of people who play or have played EVE at my school.
My father is also playing this game, but as of typing this I am suffering a huge amount of deja vu so it's not real. |

I've found that there's a large amount of people who discuss their adventures in games like WoW more so than in a game like EvE. I know a few people in real life who play EvE, but what will really shock me is if I find a Planetside player one day . |

I wouldn't openly admit that I play MMO's. I'm already regarded as a geek because I read Sci-Fi and fix/build computers for living. If I added something else into the mix, my family will disown me and my friends will abandon me. My GF doesn't mind, but she's an accountant...... |

No, there is not such thing as real person.
You all are just projection/imagination of what i see, i decide who you are, what you are, and in some cases how you look/ depend on drug used. I alone see what you are, and create an reality i perceive.
So no there are no real people in EVE. You are all just imaginations. |

Wot I Think wrote:I am 29 years old, white, male, with disposable income, no personal relationships, and a job in the technology field. What are the odds I would end up playing EVE? Frank is 37 years old, white, male, with a disposable income, a potentially fictional "picture of wife", and a job fixing elevators. Today I met Frank, we talked about "free time", and I mentioned I play EVE, and his next question was: "High-Sec or Null-Sec?" STOP!!!... WAIT... MY BRAIN HAS EXPLODED.One of the following errors has occurred:
- I met a person in real life who plays EVE.
- I met a person in real life who pretends to play EVE.
- I met a person in real life who plays EVE, and pretends to fix elevators.

The way I see it any of the options are equally plausible.

Hell, I thought I was the only one in the state of Minnesota who played Eve until I met one a few days ago in Eve who said they were from MN.
I am doubting this though...because it was a female toon who insisted she was female IRL. That's male bovine manure and I know it.
I still think I am only Minnesotan. |

Usually, I go to lunch here at the university next to my work-place. One fine day in the summer, something completely incredible happened while I walked on the campus:
I met a GIRL (!) who was probably playing EVE, because she was wearing a black t-shirt with the EVE logo on it !
So this has proven that not only other people are playing EVE, but even one girl does! Needless to say that she was walking there with her lesbian girlfriend.
Btw, all of my colleagues know what EVE is, but they don't really count since they are geeks like me. They play other MMOs. |

Washington D.C Metro area (Northern Virginia)..26 year old male...I like long walks in space and staring at the oncoming Gamma Ray bursts from nearby supernovas.
I do know some MMO friends in real life. All of the people I know who play MMOs though play all the other ones and are more into the Star Wars/Star Trek/ fantasy kinda ones. A rare few admit to having played EVE in the past or having given it a go. I think I might have to buy a EVE t shirt and start wearing it to bars around town to see what happens.... |
