I'm a pvper, but i'd like to expirience the economic face of EVE. I'm really doubtful whether creating a manufactorer/producer or a trader. I don't know which of these two kind of characters could be more profitable, i mean...if i go for trading and i'll be good and lucky at it i'll be able to get lots of money of course, but if i mine/manufacture/produce something i'll have to do with the competition and so on, but But in the long term could be more profitable...some advices?
PS: Only advices about the careers, thanks. ______

Mining, manufacturing and trading can fairly easily be done by one character.
Once your mining skills are good, you train your mfg skills while you mine ore, then once you start manufacturing goods, you train your trade skills

Trading is the most profitable occupation in EVE if you don't cound owning a T2 BPO of the ISKprinter kind. It does however take research and a solid amount of starting capital.
Wis man say:
You can get wealthy working for your ISK, but to become RICH you must make your ISK work for you.

After reading the trade guides, I was able to get to 3/4 Billion Isk in about 2 months, mainly selling T2 and turret modules. Once you have a healthy Isk account, anything is possible...

Edited by: Mr McCargo on 12/10/2007 18:13:29 I'd say, go for the trading, because it's highly profitable. I've been trading from the first day I joined Eve community, and now I've played about 1 month and a couple of days and have about 1.5b in liquid cash and market escrow. A decent capital is not essential, 'cause I have not once taken loan or anything like that. You just start trading with the NPC goods, while training learning and trading skills and then after a week or so go for minerals/datacores/t2 items or whatever. And also, read the Market Discussion forum.
EDIT: typo
