I had all the above issues listed as well. I'm in north west Wales in the UK, ISP is SKY Broadband

I live in a "good" area and I'm supposed to get a 8mb connection but download rates are about 500kbs tops, if im really really lucky I get 700kbs |

Same problem
I had to run the repair tool in adminstrator mode (Windows 7) to get it to work, then nuke the stuck Exefile file process in the task manager.

france sfr 8mb -- vista -- windows firewall and avast antivirus.
i download a new complete client --> same.
i run the Repair Tool as Admin --> same.

tried clicking on eve and it says the same stuff your client is either corrupt modified and damaged. Bad manifest signature, timestamp 2007.11.05:17:32, expected 2011.11.25:21:48

deleted the bin and it came back after the repair tool finished and it still comes up as eve online trinity with the same message about the time stamp
