Edited by: Zoloro on 20/10/2007 14:57:36 Why can't Eve employ 1 person to monitor all the common chat channels to immediately ban every new isk seller's name. This guy has been spamming for 10 minutes on multiple channels before it seemed to cease. Why let them have 10 minutes of advertising time? Don't give them the satisfaction...

common chats:
Languages Channels (Means 15 Channels at least) Help Rookie Help Recuit Trades Channels etc etc
around, umh, 60 channels
seems a little to complicated for a single person :| may be however a good idea

Probaly because its like trying to stop a tsunami by holding up your palm and say NOOOOO
These guys exist in every game and its quite hard to stem the flow, and to be frank, isk sellers are a part of online games economy these days, without all the minerals they mine the ships wouldnt be so cheap :P
Thats what I think anyways...

You should submit a harassment petition when you see that in channels.

adding on to this, if you happen to come across ISK sellers here on the forums, please send the Moderator Team an email at [email protected] with a URL so we can take action.

If everyone starts petitionning them then GMs will be flooded with thousands of new petitions each day. I doubt that's what you want _________

I always petition them, I guess it is the only way to keep eve clean. Put in "ISK Seller" as Subject so they can be easily filtered.
This is only possible with a combined effort, so ppl, help where you can :) --- My Videos: Noob on tour I |

Should start an anti-isk seller campaign and get all the players to send them 10-100+ viagra mails pr day or something like that.

How about just banning trial players from the channels, that customers of eve have asked for.. seems like where beating a dead horse asking for it.

We do petition them all the time - but they are even back on with a new character before the first one has been dealt with. Sometime's the gm's respond within 2-3 minutes, which is great - and obviously kills off the ISK dealer. But when the GM's use 20 mins to an hour to repsond, then they are able to spam quite alot.
It's a pesky problem, and it would be nice to get some sort of mechanisms to deal with this. I assume the ISK sellers are using the same characters on all the official ingame chans. Maybe a direct reporting tool on the channel itself - petitions uses somewhat redundant methods to report these kind of activities. --------------------
- It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people believe you're an idiot, rather than opening it and removing all doubt.
