Duty is above all else, honour is in the fulfilment of duty. My duty is to the Caldari people and the Aunni Ti Tsuun Consortium, and there is no price too high.
It has been made clear that the price for good relations between the ATTC and APEXC is my resignation as chairman of the Aunni Ti Tsuun Consortium council, and my resignation as Chief Executive of The Star Wolves Corporation. It is the price I must pay, and I pay willingly despite the objections of many within the Consortium.
Due to this time of change, the war against the Guristas Associates has been dropped, the oaths I made that swore the Consortium to the aid of corporations should they have war declared onto them are suspended for the time being, however standings shall not changed nor shall they until the council decides otherwise.
All changes within the Consortium are suspended, the rewritten constitution put on hold, the allowing of an APEX Conglomerate member to sit on the ATTC Council void. The treaty between the ATTC and APEXC still holds, but, as it was made because of the situation between Vendrin and myself, whether or not the council decides to uphold it further is up to them.
I have made Commander Gordon acting chairman until the council votes on a replacement. I wish them luck in finding the right man or woman, and hope that they find a worthy replacement.
This is the price demanded and I pay willingly.
For the good of the Caldari people, for the good of the Aunni Ti Tsuun Consortium. Uphold your duty, stay true to your word and remember that above all else that profit, money, and greed is the cause of corruption, and corruption is the greatest evil in this galaxy. Duty, honour, and loyalty to the people are the one thing that retains any worth.

This is all very noble, Irias, but are you really quite sure that this is necessary, or even productive? APEX seems to have its own projects and concerns, which may or may not concern the State. Are you quite sure you don't want to wait until a certain pending investigation ends before you turn over your position?
It would be terrible to surrender your seat for the sake of a relationship you might need to backpedal from, fast.
Well, no matter. I'm sure you'll do as you think best.

You are a State loyalist, Mr. Solo, so I can't entirely sympathise with your aims, but I can understand your loyalty to the State. I ask you then, why do you continue to kowtow to APEX, who have violated State law, however byzantine they may or may not be, fallen in with anti-State pirates and essentially given the finger to pretty much everything you and other State loyalists stand for.
I have no love to the ATTC but at least you can stand by your ideals through fair and foul. APEX couldn't, and it saddens me that you're giving up a job that you obviously enjoy just to please traitors. ----- Mixed Metaphor is now recruiting! Contact me for details. |

Might want to investigate a bit. Whoever asked him to step down, it wasn't us. We didn't get it either.
Then again, Dr. Salo has an unfortunate tendency to be overly vague in his statements, so I suppose it's not that surprising. ----

Unless you have a specific example where we have violated a state law I will ask you to keep your baseless slander to yourself. Becoming independent last I checked was perfectly legal, at least in the Caldari State anyways. We all know what happens when people in the Federation want to control their own futures as opposed to by the Federal government. ----- *results may vary*

Dr Salo gave the reasons for his handing over the control of both the Star Wolves and the ATTC alliance to myself quite plainly I believe. Whilst APEX' decision to associate with organisations violently opposed to the state could well be seen as 'independence', I doubt very much whether the state itself will see it that way.
Indeed, it could be said that such a stance was not 'independent' so much as it was opportunistic. I really don't see how it can be seen any other way.

Oh, quit being coy. Associating with rogue factions known for piracy, being extremely difficult about submitting to an audit by the Caldari Business Tribunal, murdering the man they sent to audit you when you eventually did submit, destroying his findings and then refusing to submit to a replacement when they sent one.

APEX have this wonderful inability to sense the irony of their statements. Are you sure you're not related to any Amarr, Gorion? ----- Mixed Metaphor is now recruiting! Contact me for details. |

I thought violence was the last resort, rather than the first, for people who wished to prove the validity of their views. I don't have any hard proof, no, but the facts really do speak for themselves - APEX gets caught red-handed associating with pirates by an alliance far superior to themselves (CYI), whines tiresomely about co-operating with the CBT, and when they do, after a few days the CBT's investigator disappears. APEX refuses to submit to another investigation and flees Caldari space, and then viciously slanders the Gallente Federation as if it's some kind of valid defence of their own values. Yet somehow they are still loyal to the Caldari State.
You know, at first, I was willing to believe it when other people said I was reactionary and irrational. But now, every time I hear a member of APEX or their supporters speak, I feel like I'm in some kind of low-budget surrealist comedy movie. ----- Mixed Metaphor is now recruiting! Actually, no, they trumped up some random charges with little basis in fact. The accusations of consorting with pirates were brought up by Duty and Boma Airaken, whom, last I checked, were not members of CYI.

Are you sure you understand the definition of slander? And if you're confident that you do, please make sure you understand the difference between an capsuleer alliance and a sovereign nation.

Eh? Says who? I believe we made it quite clear that we are now loyal to our employees and our well-being as an alliance.

I have given my reason; Mr. Gordon knows it as does the ATTC council.
I also request that APEX pilots do not bring their rhetoric here.

Despite there being at least 5 posts from members of APEX, nothing has been said to indicate you answered Dr Salo to the degree required. As the head of both the Star Wolves and ATTC I now consider the matter closed and so is this Galnet thread. That which does not kill us makes us stronger.
