I'm posting this for a friend, cause he can't access his accounts right now.
He tried to log into EVE today on one account and found it's password had been changed, so he set the password reset and still hasn't received a new password. He then tried his second account, also to find it's password had been changed, and that when he tried to reset his password, it told him his email address was incorrect.
Any ideas what to do? He's had no word from CCP.

Log into his account via the website and petition immediately. If he can't, create a trial account and provide his original e-mail and account name and state that it's been hacked. They should shut it down instantly and investigate. But do it right now, before the hacker can do any additional damage.

Yeah i cant belive this happened  any idea how long itll take to fix this? im gona make a petition now

The first thing they'll do is lock down your account so whoever is hacking it won't be able to use it, and then they're going to go through their records and check things like IP addresses and e-mail/password changes. Once they finish that they'll do their best to return any lost assets, though they can't do a whole lot about that.
Cases like this are extremely high on the petition queue so you can expect it to be handled immediately, though it may take several days to work everything out.

1 account maybe due to weak passwords yeh.
2 accounts though, well that's a case of:
Using the same password for both accounts
Using very weak passwords
Getting jacked by a keylogger
Giving the password info out to someone you thought you could trust
Trojan or similar
Writing them down somewhere and someone else has read them
Can't think of anything else.

Assuming your characters haven't been trashed.
Now you need to get rid of that keylogger and unsubscribe from all those forums.
Never use your character name or your password for anything but logging into Eve.
Your login name should not be the same as your chracter names.
Download Spybot Search & Destroy, and Find a copy of "Hijackthis". Run Spybot S&D, let it fix everything, then run hijack this and export the list. Cant remember where it is, but there's a web site that lets you upload the list and it checks against known nasties. I believe the Spybot S&D forums will also give some help as too anything that shouldn't be there.
OR
Change all your online passwords and logings then reformat your machine.

The only way for this to happen is if someone gets a hole of your account info. And the *only* ways for someone to get your account info is:
1) You give it to them (account sharing, ebaying, account trading, etc)
2) They steal it from you (downloaded keylogger, computer got hacked, etc...)
3) They steal it from CCP (they hacked CCPs authentication server)
#1 is the most obvious cause of account "hacking". You share your account with someone and they decide to steal it from you.
#2 is probably what you are worrying about though. Hackers are very unlikely as they are easily stopped with a NAT enabled router. Most likely you downloaded a keylogger by visiting an untrustworthy site, or trying to download EVE related software. The best way to stop keyloggers is to simply not download them. Be careful of the program you install and execute.
#3...
If #3 happened, I would be a lot more worried about massive identity theft than someone stealing your pixels...

This happened to me on world of warcraft.. I got stoned before a raid, and we were talking about account security... so I went to change my password, and forgot it when I woke up the next morning. I didn't get any word from blizzard immediately, so I got scared and called the tech line, boy was that tough explaining the situation to "Chris" (aka hindu customer service rep named Aladdin).
