I see the claims made here time and time again, those for and against the will of God but where are you? Each day I turn my scanners to the stars and hear....nothing. No speeches for or against my people it seems that my radio picks up nothing but static.

I recommend you switch to FTL communications, as I do not know of anybody who still uses the antiquated 'radio' wavelengths. Cute, I must say.

Don't listen to him, his god is a borrowed one, all he knows is what he's told.
Keep listening to that static, for therein lies the voice of God.
The universe speaks to us all, in the hissing of the solar winds, that last echo of it's birthing cries.
The Universe sees all within itself, and knows all within itself.
Don't expect it to care though. You are just a dust formation.

Strangely enough, I remember reading some research into the so-called ‘paranormal’ using ancient ‘magnetic tape’ recording devices. It appears a group of researchers tuned into a variety of frequencies and then asked a series of questions, leaving a gap of 5 seconds between each question. They recorded all of the conversations and played them back. Apparently they found very faint voices replying on the tapes, answering their questions in a variety of languages. Many of these ‘voices’ were claimed to be of people long dead! The research became know as the ‘Ghost’s in the Machine’ experiments.

Have I questioned your faith, I think not.
It looks as if my lot in life will be one of solitude. Shamed in the eyes of my people because of the misdeeds of my father and reviled by the rest for the blood that runs in my veins.
After all of that one thing remains true......I DO have my faith.

You chumps!
They're not asking for a dissertation on what a radio does.
Guess again.

We all know what he is actually 'saying' Pulgor, but I was trying to tell him that he may actually 'hear' the 'voice of God' (Whatever that may be) in a truely physical sense. I'm sure that will be of some comfort to a true believer. That which does not kill us makes us stronger. While you have the luxury of being presumed innocent I do not. While members of the other races allow each other time to decide ones worth except us. How is it with one hand, you wave the flag of æfreedomÆ and with the other shoot down my brothers and sisters not for who we are but what we are. Its amusing that you claim that it is we who are immoral for slavery and yet you would seek to enslave us.
Try living in the shadow of a man who lived a life of deceit and debauchery, and then suffer for HIS deeds simply because you are his son. That is the life I live, I committed no crimes. I lived as I should, working to better my life and spread the word of God. Now, I can no longer hold my head up in pride. There are no welcoming smiles of friends only scowls and condemnation.
Who will stand by me...not you, why is that? Because I have faith or is it that you are so blinded by hatred that you are unwilling to see past what you think is true and allow yourself to see what real truth looks like?

Several points need to be made here. First, it amuses me when and Amarrian accuses me of having the 'luxury of being presumed innocent'. This rarely occurs, as 99% of the Amarrian people hope that I will drop dead or be dragged off to the mines in chains -- not only for what I do, but merely because I am not Amarrian, and am therefor subhuman. Which transitions nicely into your next point, to which I respond that the very, very few Amarrian who denounce slavery are not my enemies; I attack people based on acts that are abhorrant to me, not based on race. And if by 'enslave [you]' you mean 'force the Amarrian Empire to abolish slavery and to accept that other races have the right to self-determination', then I plead guilty to your final point.

Try comforting a child screaming and writhing in pain from the effects of VITOC poisoning, inflicted upon him because he failed to say 'Yes, most holy master' with 'sufficient conviction', then tell me again of the horrors of your 'lack of welcoming smiles'.
I haven't a clue what your father did that was so horrible, but frankly if Amarrian society condems it, my first assumption (without further evidence) has to be that he was a praiseworthy man. That your society and their religeon condemns you for your ancestry alone should be an excellent reason for you to reconsider the value of that system of beliefs.

If your faith is a unfounded devotion to that vile Amarrian god that requires your people to believe that all other races are subhumans to be conquered and enslaved to the 'glory' of their foul Empire, then you will get no sympathy from me. If your faith diverges from that of your people, then the situation may be different.

Edited by: Yuthrin Mynwara on 27/10/2007 12:21:17 I feel that my only response to that is that being on the fringe of society has only brought me bitterness. Living a life that once was calm and secure, I now face a reality of unknowns.
Yes indeed, there are members of my race who are extreme in their beliefs but as a member of the outcast I can not continue to share a blind devotion without questioning the outcome. My own experiences taught me that. That is not to say IÆve lost my faith, in fact my predicament has only lend cause to strengthen it.
I will no longer except the standard rhetoric some of my more vocal brethren use. Ever since my fathers censorship IÆve been able to see more of the outlying regions and can now see a clear difference between reality and what I was lead to think was true, and why my leaders use political sermons to some how tie our faith to governmental policy.

Be careful ... today you question Amarrian religeous rhetoric; tomorrow you may find yourself in the uncomfortable position of viewing the non-Amarrian population of the galaxy as fellow humans worthy of respect, rather than mere tools to be used, abused, and discarded.
This is a disappointing rare condition, but one cherished among free peoples. For your own sake, I hope your affliction progresses.
