Its a g-damn toss up. Ive never flown a Vaga, but ive killed nubishly setup Vagas with my Curse, the good ones never engage unless its to tackle...Yes ive lost a Curse or 2 to a Vaga, have not lost 1 vs 1 since I started running with a domination web + heat, slows them down enough so they dont float into lock/web/dps range.....
BUT, I lose my curse to small gangs (inties, dictors) alot, but I notice the Vaga always get away.....And has atleast 100 more dps then I do with 3 tech II heavy launchers and drones..................

Vaga's strong point is survivability, picking your fights and running away.
A curse can probably kill more things. In a 1 on 1 fight I don't see how a vaga could ever kill a curse.
Since you already have amarr cruiser 5 have you tried a nanosac? Looks like a fun ship (on paper at least). -

I think a Vagabond pilot would have to be pretty ******** to get caught by a Curse. --- Proud Amarr pilot.

Fit neuts instead of launchers and I'd say you sohuld never lose. A capless vaga is a can with some resistances and a minor buffer.

I tried the neuts setup, but i like my 3 laucnher 2 medium nos setup better.I just run the mwd and ewar until the ship caps out....
No I havnt tried the sac. Since ive never lost to a sac in a duel or pvp I decided I didnt want to fly one...Infact, the fights havnt even been close, I usualy win with maybe 1k shield dmg out of 5k....If i was to go back to low sec pvp, Id probably fly one..
I still think the zealot is waaaaaaaay better then the sac, no drones, no ammo, cheap, fast, decent dps.....

Vegabonds are easy pray for a smart curse, one cycle on a neut and an overheated web = dead vega 99% of the time. Vegas run for a reason. The fact that tracking diruptors make the vega miss almost every shot means the vega does little to no damage to a Curse. Get too close to use the PP ammo and you get webbed. . .a smart vega runs.
As for the Sac, I would recommend you take a look at them again - they are simply amazing HACs. Tough, decent dps, good looks (I think) and quite speedy too. I do not recommend training vegas like everyone else. Stick to Amarr, you will be happier in the end.

Curse is op, might as well stick to that.

Only if you decide to fight it. The vegabond always makes the choise to engadge or not, the curse jumps once the vega decides its invincible - which - happens more oftain then not. People in vegas get a little brave sometimes and learn that its not a brave mans ship - its a shy persons ship. -----------

Fine, you lost your astarte to one, and your farmer mates failed to do anything about it. To be honest, this could have been done in an arbitrator aswell, and is entirely due to your lack of skills(and no I don't mean skillpoints) and nothing else. Please keep your whining to one thread.
