Hi.
I have a quick question: If a GM has fixed a thing for me, and I am grateful, what is the proper course of action?
- Add a message to the petition, thanking him/her, thereby forcing the GM to check the petition once more?
- Be respectful and wait until the petition times out after the GM's last message, not to use up more time, thereby letting more petitions be handled?
I guess I'll be rating the petition in both cases. I wonder if that sort of appreciation reaches through though.

Good point. I did have a "Thanks in advance" in the text, but it sounds a bit... standard, perhaps.

If you are very grateful or happy I think the GM¦s won¦t mind getting a thank you message. It doesn¦t take much time and it might brighten someones day

An Eris post might justify the extra bit of time it will take for the next person to have a petition handled while the nice GM reads my appreciation mail.
Managed to add the message before downtime happened.

One of my petitions was seen to and fixed by the time i'd filled my Vodka back up and sat back down. I was impressed and offerd to buy them a drink if they got me a fan fest ticket. I didnt hear back from them.

Maybe CCP could make a button which you can press if you want to thank a GM.

I always reply "Thanks" when a GM fixes my problem, as well as a note saying that he can close the petition. That way the the GM will remove the petition from the system instead of letting it expire. Might take a bit more of the GM's time, but it keeps other GMs from coming and reading your petition that was already resolved, I guess.

it's no problem to leave a message of thanks for the GM's in the petition, they don't mind.

The few times i had to petition, i have ended with a word of thanks as the last remark, and a high rating in the satisfaction score that you can give a petition after it's been resolved. In most support organizations such ratings are used to measure a supporter's performance during their review, so giving a high rating means their boss will tell them they did well.

I would say that the GMs appreciate if you say thanks and other nice things. But since everyone else said it already I decided I won't.

Do GM's get a bonus or a thank you if they have a constantly high feedback score from petitions they have resolved?
Do you name and shame them if they get a low score?

You forgot to say thank you, they like that. Thanks Nova! Also, they are not 'cages', per se. They are Adjustable Containment Cubicles (ACC), please use the proper name if you must mention these on the forums.

Arkanon on the other hands sits in a castle made of human bones on a throne made of human skulls. I think it's a bit uncomfortable be he claims he enjoys it anyway.
