An interesting accomplishment. I wonder (because I only read the first post) if you took vidsnaps of the journey, and if you found any Cool Stuff out there?
I've been to a couple of the landmarks noted on the map, and found them sorta interesting. Still haven't done the Eve gate, though I plan to.

I have screenies of every different 0.0 station type, from several different angles, from before and after Trinity. It started getting too repetative to take photos of every station although I did go and look at all of them - too much fun watching haulers run for cover from my Cheetah of DOOOOOM! I have a few of NPC stations, particularly where they're not the ones I normally see around empire.

Nice accomplishment. I wonder, did you buy new skill books along the way or did you just train the skills you had?
I just ask, because stopping and buying stuff every so often may not seem like much but it can add up to quite a bit of time when your on a long trip.

That's an excellent question. I had 2 years worth of skills to train up that I already had at some level so I wasn't short of things to train on the trip. Once I got back to empire I started buying the skills that I had finished pre-reqs for while in the outback but only when passing through school systems. Caldari BS 5 was the longest. The rest were mostly L4 skills.

Originally by: Jeran Tek Edited by: Jeran Tek on 08/03/2008 12:28:47 "Systems I've visited should now work properly" From the patch notes for 2.2.1 (build 36800) Well, I've looked and there's an awful lot that i haven't visited.
I decided to change this fact.
So my Cheetah is no longer working for the GBC. It never was much good in that role anyway, what with my living in the wrong timezone for anything EVEish. Now it's just for me as I head off on a pilgrimage that will take me more than a year. By the end of it I plan to have that "Systems I have visited" function glowing across the entire map. I know. Some of you may object to my passage. Bring it on. You are welcome to hunt me though I would prefer if you would just say hi as I go past.
Step one began with the flight from FAT. I was there when Evil Thug DD'd his fleet through the POS shields. Now I'm leaving for ports unknown. 2 jumps out and there's nothing but me and my cloak. 10 jumps and it's quiet as a churchyard. Time to circle wagons, set the cloak and SS for the night.
*Edit* This needs to be front page. I've now visited every one of the 3294 0.0 systems in EVE.
*Edit 2* Front page news again - the journey is complete. 5152 systems in EVE. All visited. And title changed to something more appropriate. Final Map (At this resolution you can't see the grey ones :)
Im currently doing a similar thing, except i do it in a shuttle and visit systems that i've been told are interesting. Id love to hear from u, perhaps u could give some pointers to interesting sites. Currently im enroute to that nice Titan landmark we all hear about. Gonna take some nice pictures.

My Cheetah isn't fast enough in normal space and there is no hidden gate. For the paranoid amongst you that's what I would have to say even if they had let me in.
Robban, you need to read the rest of the thread. I point out some areas of interest on the way through. Good luck getting there in a shuttle though. And I mean that sincerely. There's a decent thread about the highlights of empire space where there are some sights to see. That wasn't my main objective - I was more like those tourists who go to see "Europe" in a week. If nothing else go see the EVE gate.

Excellent read, thoroughly enjoyed it :).
My first and only (so far) trip to New Eden almost ended in a podding against a pirate in (I think) a BC or BS. He used the cans to get close to me in my measely 1km/s T1 frigate and sent his drones after me...
Four shots later, and those invisible walls you mention saved my life.

Actually i did make it and i have some nice screenshots of the Titan. I also took 2 more of a station in there. I guess i was high on success, so i went a bit to close to a POS and got podded. But so what. The trip was well worth it.
Here are some nice Screens of the Titan: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
The Station: 1 2
The POS that podded me: POS
I do see that our journies are of different nature. But then again i am a VERY new player to EVE. What i want is to experience the flavors of the EVE galaxy. The reason i took a shuttle is plain and simple, i dont have the skills or the ISK to fly anything better. The shuttle named "Kamikaze Tourist" was probably my best shield. What's the fun in shooting a shuttle? And the name should make them see that im actually not up to anything bad. Anyway Fly safe. My next stop is the EVE gate.
If for some reason u wanna follow my travels i do have a thread of my own.
Best regards, An EVEaholic in the making.
