FastLearner is in your alliance, I'd suggest talking to him about this. It sounds like you need more than just some ipo advice though. This list of things I think you need are: 1 - Read the STICKIES2 - www.dictionary.com3 - An actual business plan 4 - Then an ipo proposal (A guideline can be found in the STICKIES) Good luck with your efforts.

I have qns tho.
1) What towers u gunna use? 2) What moons u gunna use? 3) What skillz do u haf in reactions n stuff? 4) Will u do it thru ur alliance dude? 5) Wat happens if peeps kill your towers? 6) What T2 bits u gunna do? 7) How do u know u can make 1.5b-2b per month? 8) What min you gettin from minin tower each month and how much?

Well Ricdic u ask some good questions and i m glad as this is wot i was hoping for
i will use the fraction towers for the area that i m in and they will be large towers
The moons i m lookin in to at this time (dont wanna get this wrong so i m not goin to guess it )
My main which is this toon has nearly 1 million sp in industry which does for wot i need as this is not the 1st time i have run POS's last time it was just Corp pos's I hope to be able to have my own corp in the alliance i m in
I hope peeps dont kill my tower but there is a high chance of that being in the alliance that i m in gives it a min chance of happen but still there is a chance of it happening but i will have good defend on each of the POS's and with using fraction it makes them harder but in the event that i do lose a tower then i would have to replace via my own isk or from profit and hope to make back the lose
Like moons i m lookin in to wot sells and wot dont and then i will know wot T2 bits to make
The reason i qouted 1.5b-2b is i have friends and they are doin it in eve and that is wot he has told me and he is running 4 pos's i could be wrong but until i do my own figure i wont know
And ur last question i m not sure i understand it m8
But i hope i have answered the rest ok for you

The last question, rephrased slightly: what quantity of minerals will each tower produce each month?
As a potential investor, I'd ask you this: what return on the capital do you expect to make, and what proportion of it will you pay to your shareholders?
In other words, what do you get for (total monthly sales - total monthly POS fuel costs - monthly materials costs)/(total isk needed to start the IPO)? If you get less than 7%, don't bother, as there are plenty of much less risky investments that offer the same return.
For Kirjava's IPO, this figure is about 20%. All his profits go to shareholders, and he holds ~50% of the shares, so he has a strong incentive to run the IPO.
If you can do as good a job as that one, people will probably invest, but it helped that he was reasonably well-known to Ricdic and other people who understood what he was doing. In the OP's case he has spent his whole life in leet so I felt the same treatment should apply.

Write a detailed plan in notepad first, then worry about the IPO. Without a proper plan, you will not not know what you are doing, and without subject knowledge you only have a failed business.
First get the moon scans done. You will need complete scans of every available moon in every available system in your region. You only need small or medium towers to do moon mining. Anything larger is a waste of isk - an enemy fleet will kill your POS, its just a matter of the time and force applied. You will need a large tower to run the advanced reactions. FACTION (note sp.) towers' maintenance costs are lower - they save on fuel. But these savings are meaningless if you can not get the fuel to the towers. Same for mining and reacting, if you can not get your product to the market.
There is a lot of information about all the above on these Eve-O forums. I suggest you read them.

Hi there,
Ok, From readon your post, at first glance id say your honest But, that you dont realy know much about Pos's
I ran a personal network of 3 pos's in deep 0.0 making Tungsten Carbide reaction from the base moon materials. IE, at the pos's I mined all the material reacted it to the intermediate components and then made the complex reaction...
I only lasted two months before I was totaly burned out with pos mining.
granted, that was before ccp inlarged the storage on the pos so you could keep more fuel in it.. and before the change to allow you to access hangers and such from inside your frieghter.
here's my questions.
Is your Operation a one man show or do you have employees to help with it.
What guarantee can you offer potenial investers that a: if your a one man show, you wont get burned out yourself and hurt your investers by not performing to expectation? or B: that your employees wont steel from the corp and hurt your investers that way? Moon mining should start from finding good moons, and then getting money to build POSes on top of those moons. Starting with financing when you don't even have any good moons (and best moons are all taken already) is backwards and unlikely to succeed.
My advice, if this is serious, concentrate on finding good moons and only if you find a nice group of moons should you even start thinking about bulding POSes or outside financing.
On the other hand, name starting with "Star" and atrocious spelling are a bit suspicious to say the least.

Starclash - keep in mind about your logistics network, just setting up the POS and running it is good, but with Carriers getting nerfed and I presume you are taking advantage of the moon sale Fastlearner mentioned a while back, that you only need a few materials plus fuel, that you can supply the needed materials? If not, look at how much it would be to haul it in (Amarr Citizen 115 does things like this) or get your grubby mits on a Rorqual. If you already have these then around 5billion looks right, get Gallente towers for extra silo capacity. You should research what you are going to make for yourself, I speant hours building spreadsheets to pick mine and more time finalising them with Kaz, it's worth making your own. Good luck with your venture though

I'm afraid you'll find it rather harder than you expect to deploy a profitable POS chain in the area where we live. You probably won't be aware of it, but we have a pretty clearly defined policy for allocation of moons - which includes registering an interest in a moon then, if it's contested, bidding for the rights to deploy there.
Whilst there's no top-end moons left unallocated there ARE a fair few metal moons and maybe even a few two-metal moons. But those won't make you the sort of money you were talking about in your OP. To make any real profit you'd need to get into the reactions side of things. I'm no expert on that myself - I'm in the process of deploying my own first mining/reacting chain right now.
There's a couple of fairly major issues you need to address before you can even consider an IPO (aside from the issue of finding some moons in the first place):
1. Do you even have POS-management rights within TGRAD? If not, would they be willing to give you them? 2. How are you planning on handling the logistics? You really need a capital ship of some sort - though, depending on location, you could get away with using a freighter and/or haulers for now I guess. But without a cap ship your ability to refuel is restricted to when there's no hostiles present and/or you can obtain an escort.
The first thing you need to do is go and read up on POSes/moon-mining and reacting. Then speak to whoever the industrialists (if any) are in TGRAD and find out whether you can get POS management access. I have no idea what your corp's policy is on that - or how well respected a member you are.

Cut the guy some slack.
He is trying to force his idea into a template that someone else made.
He could just write his IPO free style without asking any questions, or he could try to put it into our standardized template and need to ask a few questions along the way.
There is nothing wrong with him asking if the Assets section of the template was to refer to his Assets, as in his ability to carry out the plan, or if it refered to the Assets that will be owned by the corp.
StarCrash - the assets section would be for Assets that will belong to the corp, so unless you are donating that BPO, you would not include it. The implants cannot be removed and resold, so they would not belong to the corp.
If you feel that you have some special resources that would allow you to carry out this plan, put them in where it makes sense to do so.
Honestly we really don't care what implants you have plugged into your head or what you have in your personal hanger. Unless you are donating it to the corp, don't include it in your IPO.

There is cutting someone slack and then there is lowering the standards to the point that you are laying on your back with your feet aimed at the ceiling. From the bend of this thread we get the idea that this person doesn't understand: 1 - Moon mining very well. 2 - Pos operation very well. 3 - His regional politics very well. 4 - His alliance very well. 5 - The necessary market segment very well. 6 - The ipo market very well. 7 - Takes advice very well. 8 - And simply wants 5 billion with which to experiment on all of the above. Like I said before, there is slack and then there is "WTF?!? GTFO!".

He hasn't listened to the advice he has been given so far. He was told to stop using slang, yet he continues to do so. He sounds like a 14 year old kid who is having a joke at everyones expense here.
Until he tries harder and learns to speak even remotely intelligently I plan to stay FAR FAR away from this. Obviously if others want to invest in someone who has no clue what is involved in moon mining yet is basing an entire IPO around it then that is their choice. But I'm staying far away from this thread unless he suddenly learns to speak correctly and magically gains a whole lot of knowledge required to run this IPO.
