I've really enjoyed playing this game up until about 4 or 5 months ago when you changed the rate at which asteriods respawn. I'm not sure if you did this because of macro miners or you were trying to get more people in to low sec area's, or both. This has interfered with my normal real life, as my job is high stress and I enjoyed coming home and having a couple of beers and mining and building my little ships and what not to relax. I have tried low sec and the greifers make it impossible to relax there. I cannot play structured hours and being part of large alliances is not feasible. I imagine I will just get flamed and told to change my game play to match your changes. I don't believe I should be told how to play, because that was the point of the game according to your description I read, when I signed up. I'm not interested in running a company stressed out during the day only to come home at night and be stressed playing a game. So I'm making some kind of attempt here to communicate to you that these changes you have made are effecting a certain type of player. The solo players who plays for relaxation and fun. It has become very frustrating to go from solar system to solar system, visting each belt and find all the belts stripped. I have used probes which takes even longer and still I fine nothing at the point of probe contact. If this is your intent, that the solo miner player is to be phased out of the game, could you please let me know.
Best Regards, Sylence

Well i can say to you that you should try re-locating to a system that has non mined asteriod belts yes they are out there. As for the respawn times for the asteroids im not sure why they changed that but it hasnt helped gallente space at all. If i knew exactly why the respawns were changed i would be able to give a more constructive reply but for now i can say there are belts out there.

Tere are thousands of safe systems with belt that are barely ever touched. You just have to move away from the few most crowded areas.

Dead-end 0.5s work quite well usually. There are parts of highsec that are absolutely deserted, far from the major hubs around Jita, Motsu/Aramachi/Laag/Sailags area, Rens, etc. You don't even have to be far, 2-3 jumps and off the major highways will work. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. This reduction in roid respawn rate has made it almost a waste of time for a hulk pilot because a roid will pop in 2/3 of the cycle time. This imediatly looses 50% the effectivity of the stip miners. When youve put 6-7 mill sp into being able to have an uber setup its gets rather annoying when the last 4 mill of that becomes defunct because the roids arnt big enough. Also, i live in a system where there are typically 2 other players in the system, but every belt that i visit is always terrible, so the number of people in the system really doesnt seem to be effecting it that much at the moment

I have to say I agree with Sylence. I have the same problems. Right now I am going on an extensive survey mission of non-congested regions. In the meantime, I have another suggestion. It takes a little more work but it might be a quick solution to the problem. If you notice, systems with no stations usually have their belts untouched. This is not a hard and fast rule, but from my travels its seems to hold true. Most macro miners want to be able to "pump and dump" in the same system. So I followed some advice I found on these forums a while back. You will need a frigate with a MWD (or a shuttle), several secure cans, anchoring level 1, and a 0.5 system with no station. First I hopped in my frigate and went to a belt I wanted to mine. I fired up my MWD and set out at around 1200mps in a direction perpendicular to the belt. Direction doesn't matter, though as you just want to get out of standard sensor range. I usually go about 250k - 500k out from the belt. I then place a bookmark at this spot. Call it "The Stash". Then I head back to the station where I left my Iteron 5 and my mining barge. I loaded my Iteron 5 up with cargo containers (the biggest you can get) and head back to "The Stash". Warp to the bookmark, anchor the cans and set the passwords. Now go back to the system with the station and hop into your miner. Head back to the stash system. Use you barge to mine a quantity of ore and warp to the Stash to dump it into one of the can cans you anchored. Repeat until all the cans are full, and head back to the system with a station and grab your hauler. Head back to "The Stash" and pick up the containers. Rinse and repeat.

That works until a few savy Pirates figure out what you are doing, then the system before it becomes a Pirates' Paradise lol. +++++++++++++++ I saw the Sign...!

Nah, pirates don't want your ore, or your minerals. They camp gates to steal blueprints and 0.0 commodities on their way to hubs. No self-respecting ganker will sit on a gate all day in some backwater system four jumps off the highway hoping to catch your Isogen-laden Bestower trundling through the gate.
That's the best way to do it. I used to mine in a high-sec island in a low-sec constellation, had a refinery in it and everything. Loneliness was my only challenge.
