This might sound really random, but is there something in the program to play some sounds after an extended period of time?
I had left he program open for several hours, and had nothing running on the computer except for a few tabs on Chrome. Randomly I hear some ambient sounds like when you are undocked in game. I check the mixer in Windows and it shows some sound coming from just the soundcard (not from any of the programs). After a little bit I hear the sound of being targeted, being shot, shield alarm, armor alarm, hull alarm, then a ship exploding. I'm completely freaking out by this point. I check the task manager and Eve isn't running anywhere. While doing so, I hear the sound of being targeted again, and then of a pod being exploded. The sounds all stop. I log in to check all my accounts and everyone was still docked up in their ships.
I'm asking here because it's the only other thing that was running at the time, other than Chrome (Facebook, Reddit, Gmail). Whatever it was gave me quite a heart attack. |

I've recently had a couple of cases where I saved the shopping list to disk and when I try to reload it I get "Cannot read file from disk - Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
The files are fine, undamaged and I can open them in notepad/excel. There wasn't an IPH update between saving and reloading.
Other times the reload has worked fine, so something intermittently wrong somewhere.
Export format CSV.

First time, both the saved shopping lists I tried failed with the same error, after a restart of IPH, they were both loadable. |

I am trying to figure out the "Manufacturing List" tab. I am looking at build 3.1.5563.33678.
In the lower pane of the "Manufacturing List" tab, there are two tab groups. The first of these has tabs labelled "Base," "Components," "Copy," etc. It appears to be intended to allow me to specify a facility where my manufacturing/research/copying/invention is to happen, and it appears to be hardcoded to always default to Jita IV-4 CNAP. If I try to change it to something else, the "Select Facility" combobox disables. I have two questions about this:
- Am I correct in my guess about what these controls are for?
- If so, is there some step I am missing that will enable me to pick a different manufacturing facility?

There seems to be a shopping list bug in the most recent version when using the copy/paste assets functionality (not sure if applicable to API assets as well).
Version: 3.1.5563.33678
Steps: 1. Add a large number of Tech 2 ships to the shopping list. - I added 15x Heretic (ME 3) w/ 15 Blueprints
2. Copy/Paste in game assets into Shopping List - My assets included a number of Antimatter Reactor Units - Pre-Asset Antimatter Reactor Unit Count: 225
3. Component Builds updated - Post-Asset Antimatter Reactor Unit Count: 124

Also I added some better error checking to the CREST updates so it won't crash when CCP has server issues.
Finally, the industry flip belts was crashing with an issue dealing with the refinery settings. This is fixed. Delete your settings file if you have an issue with this.

I would like help with a problem if I may.
Either by a bug, or misuse I continually find myself short on components for T2 manufacturing when I get to my last unit. I generally enter into the program how many runs I want to do, then the amount of blueprints I intend to use.
The problem is its making a rounding error somewhere or treating the material requirement calculation based on one large run. If I'm building say 16 Ishtars, that might be using 8 blueprints at ME4 TE14. The program might be assuming that its one huge run, so with the ME4 and 2% POS material reductions it might use less components if I was able to make 16 ishtars at the same run. However since I can only make batches of 2 at a time, I might find myself short components when I get to the last one.
I generally use the program to plan the run, then add it to a shopping list. I use the shopping list to buy the materials, and track my manufacturing progress.
Is there perhaps another way to use the program to accurately get a component count, or is it an error in the software?

and here's a litte problem:
i can't seem to get SVR values for a bunch of items. any idea why ? the field remains empty, even though quite a few of the item are sold daily.

On the svr, open up the items in market view and look at the history tables or graph. This is the only way emd gets the history updates for svr calculations. I'm looking at using crest for this but it's still in progress and I'm not sure if it will work yet. So for now, just view the items in the region you use. Note, it only updates after midnight game time.

This is the first time ive downloaded and used this application, there are so many options its a bit confusing, is there any tutorials on initial set up and setting up a job,
for example
- under blueprints, is it possible to transfer the items to the manufacturing list.
- In the manufacturing list how can I get the materials for multiple BPCs (say for example I have 20 BPCs for Mag Stab II how can i determine the materials i need for all 20)
- Can I view the shoppping list in the in game browser which adds links to all the thing I need to buy

1 - OK, ill try that 2 - so the total runs section is not the total runs per BPC, but more the total runs that I have, so if i had33 BPCs total runs would be 330, BPs would be 33, and what are lines for, is that the number of manufacture slots I use 3 - shame that :) 4 - I did hit the refresh button but it doesnt chnage the values under component material list or raw material list
EDIT - on point 4, yes the number alters now, I think it was the fact I was putting 10 under total runs (thinking it was runs per BPC that went in there) |

On #2 above, "Total Runs" has always been subject to confusion. Maybe it's the "Total items" but that's also somewhat confusing. This will then figure out the time to complete the 150 runs (basically two batches of a 10 run bpc). If you had 2 characters with 20 total industry lines, then you could run it all in the time to run one 10 run bpc.

OK cool, ill give that a go, I thoguht eve-central used that crest updating now (whilst i dont know how crest works per se i know it gives more accurate prices and doesnt rely on people uploading), but the prices in the app seem higher than in station so if it still shows a profit then at least I know its def a profit.

I would like to request being able to put in a "number of blueprints" for building the components for an item (e.g. Hybrid Comps for a T3). My usage example is as follows:
Base Case: 400x Metallofullerene Plating (ME 10)

So you can see that the material count decreases (but overall components stays the same) like it should.

Which doesn't match either the numbers at the top of the post.

Right now, you can set the # of blueprints for the final product which is nice (so you can see the savings between building 5x1 Confessor vs 1x5 Confessor). But since you can't do that with the components (unless you do it manually and add each individual component to your shopping list as opposed to just the # of ships).
So instead of overbuilding components for the final product (since you can explicitly set the BP count on your final product) you end up overbuying the materials to build the components since it assume you are going submit 950 individual component build jobs.
Finally the material list when I manually add all of the components for 50x single-run ME 1 Confessors. If you only paste a single asset, it doesn't update anything.

However you can't do that with the components (unless you do it manually and add each individual component to your shopping list as opposed to just the # of ships). So instead of overbuilding components for the final product (since you can explicitly set the BP count on your final product) you end up overbuying the materials to build the components since it assume you are going submit 950 individual component build jobs. If you only paste a single asset, it doesn't update anything. Note, it only updates after midnight game time.
i have updated everything pos related with evemon running in the background. that way, the prices should be in the system, right ?
i now have a price for compression arrays and moon harvesting arrays, but the SVR values for other items in the same category are gone now (Caldari Control Tower Medium, Reprocessing Array, Small Railgun Battery)
are you sure there is no other explanation ?

The price updates and the history are two different updates. As long as you have the EVEMon replicator going, and you open up the 'Price HIstory' tab (not the 'Market Data' tab) you'll send the update to the server. I talked with the EMD guy and he said the only way you can get the cache to update with the historical data is to look at the graph/table, not just the prices. The volumes get added with the history and that's how I can tell what is sold per day to do the calc. Also, the history will only update once a day at midnight due to the way it works. CREST will work the same.
