I have NEVER had anyone salvage my wrecks. If you dont want it to happen find a less busy place to do your missions.

Well. To those that are simply saying "NO" to the OP, what is your solution? Be faster? How can he be faster in a ratting ship than someone's salvaging destroyer? Bring a corpmate? Missions are not THAT profitable so that 2 ppl would waste their time on them and split the profits. Kill, then salvage and then kill another rat? The mission would take half a day to complete then. Wait! I know the answer! Bring an alt...

There is no problem, wrecks aren't yours, it's space junk, it's not a mandatory part of missions, it's a byproduct that can be turned into profit by anyone willing too. If they are being salvaged under your nose, move to another system with less activity.
There a solution, who said a solution would make one happy

Please explain why a mission runner is lazy?
The mission runner is lazy because they come to the forums to complain hoping the game mechanics will be changed rather than figure out a solution on their own.

So in other words, you have absolutely no chance to stop some parasite from profiting on your efforts
Wrecks may be a byproduct, but they are also ISK, ISK that YOU produce when you do missions. Why should you give up on something you've created so that some lazy *** can earn from them instead of you? You at least invested something into those missions: getting your standings up, ratting ship (can be very expensive), there's also a risk (although small) that you make a mistake and lose the ship, and last but not least - your time. His investment? Destroyer, salvagers, trinket of skillpoints to get the ship undocked.

(a) Missions already produce too much of a profit. You get 0.0 PvP corps/alliances which openly say 'we use high-sec mission running alts to make AFK safe money for PvP'. Meh. (b) It's space junk. Yes, it's a by-product of your actions. No, it does not make it yours by extension. (c) The fact is, if CCP did give you agression rights, people WOULD use this to, in fact, gank you, and then we'd have tons of people complaining about losing their ships just as loudly. Since carebears typically don't know aggro mechanics, they'd attack the salvager to drive him off (or, even worse, kill him) and keep salvaging there until a command ship shows up to blow you to bits.

There is no solution because it isn't a problem.
Time is ISK.
Missions probers spend time, and probes, to find someone site. Then, they get their ISK for their efforts. It's a perfectly legitimate thing to do. And let's be honest, it's really suboptimal income, anyway. Gurista wrecks don't really give any good salvage, and not soon after you find yourself a nice... donation giver... 3 other people warp in and start their own salvaging.
How would you explain this change in game mechanics? Why wouldn't anyone who wanted to be able to access the contents or salvage the parts from a wreck?
Wreck: "Oh, uh, I may be nothing but scrap now, but you can't touch this, neener?

Possible solutions:
1. No one can enter mission deadspace except mission runner and his gang-mates while the mission is active.
2. Wrecks can not be salvaged by anyone excpet the person who killed the NPC or his gang-mates while mission is active.
3. Wrecking other ppl wrecks will flag the perpetrator. Yes, ppl can be baited, but it will be up to them to think about the consequences of attacking the thief (i.e. PvP command ship that can come)

No - you want the game to be easy for you.
Invulnerable in a station. Invulnerable in a mission deadspace. Warp to zero: nigh on invulnerable while traveling. In an npc corp: un war deccable.
Where can anyone attack you?? They can't - and that's pathetic.
The wrecks not yours - its debris, litter, rubbish and as such is freely available to the first pilot to salvage it.

Flagging the thief would be enough. If he wants to return in his PvP ship, let it be. I won't be waiting in my ratting ship either. We'll have a nice battle and I'll have the chance of blowing up his n00b *** yet again

While I do not agree with the subject of this thread, I do find it odd that stealing a usually worthless item of T1 junk from the wreck does flag you, but salvaging items worth 300k+ from a wreck doesn't flag at all.
But hey it's luck of the draw I suppose and the whole rig thing is borked anyway. IMO, make it easier/quicker to salvage and increase the drop rate to reduce the value of rig parts/rigs.
As a concept, salvaged debris/litter/rubbish should not value at 100k isk/item. That's the value of T2 salvage parts IMO. Knock a zero off all rig prices. problem solved.

Well, he's not a thief. I still want the chance to pwn him (twice if possible) for using the byproducts of my work. Risk vs reward, remember? Let him taste it a little bit himself.

No, it's you who are wrong. If he can be flagged, then by salvaging my wrecks he accepts the risk. And I accept the risk by shooting him. Ok? I think everyone is happy.

Finally we've reached the problem here. The current game mechanics need to be fixed, so that byproduct of YOUR work would be YOURS. If he wants to take the chance, he salvages and if you want to take the chance, you shoot. Everyone can bail out, because not to touch anything or not to shoot are also an option.
