Hey there. Im getting this message when trying to log in.
The client's local session information is corrupt, probably as a result of failed cleanup during a disconnect. Connecting to the server in this state could lead to a rather unpleasant game experience. Please restart the client prior to logging in.
I have deleted eve and copied an original install over from my spare pc. That didnt work, so i downloaded the client again, reinstalled it and still the same problem. Is there some folder that I am ment to purge manually? Please help me.
Thanks!

Same thing here, because of the unsheduled extended downtime I thought I'd try out the test server, did the update ok and logged on, when told Tranq. was back up tried to log in and froze, hit the connect button again and got the 'corrupt' msg. I tried all the so called fixes including deleting my cache and settings (didnt work) uninstalling the test server app. (didnt work) then reinstalling the main (didnt work) so i'm now in the process of downloading the setup exe again after uninstalling everything. So great, now i'm gonna loose all my settings and spend the next day resetting everything, on top of the time lost today. Maybe the splash screen on Trinity should read 'Playing this test server can seriously f*ck up your day!' Big up on this one CCP, well done!

Advocate - make sure you delete all this stuff as well - C:\Documents and Settings\yournamehere\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\cache

I have the same issue. I have XP SP2 and I also do not have a CPP folder under 'local settings'.
I can run any account save the accounts I ran on Singularity.
This is the same on multiple computers.
Please assist.

I am getting the exact same problem... it leaves me to wonder if the people who are having trouble connecting with their account use that particular account on the test server? just a hunch but that might have something to do with it...
anyway... I did delete my cache folder and I am still unable to connect with my main however my alt's account works just fine (weird much).
This might all get fixed in the next downtime (hope so, I have a skill that will finish in the morning)

Ok I fixed my errors... apparently the cache folder wasn't the only thing I had to clear. If you clear your cache and it still doesn't work you will need to clear your settings folder as well

I had this same problem after giving the SiSi/Trinity-test client a try, here's how I fixed things up:
(I am running on WinXP Pro, sp2, so steps may vary on other flavors)
Open My Computer Tools / Folder Options View tab Select "Show hidden files and folders" Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" (click YES when you get prompted with the "Are you sure" warning box) Click OK Close My Computer
On keyboard hit Windows Key + R (Win+R for short) Type "%USERPROFILE%" (That's dbl-quote, percent symbol, the word USERPROFILE, percent symbol, dbl-quote) and tap your ENTER/RETURN key or click the OK button An explorer window should pop up, and will display your home directory (usually something like C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName) Open the Local Settings folder Open the Application Data folder Open the CCP folder Open the EVE folder Rename or Delete the "cache" folder (I just deleted mine, but I've had to do this a few times, so I knew I wouldn't need to roll things back) Open the "settings" folder Make a new folder named "backup" within this settings folder Copy all the files in this settings folder to the new backup folder Now delete all the files in this settings folder except for the prefs.ini file (and your new backup folder of course, keep that too)
Close everything up, and launch EVE to give things a try.
G'luck :-)
