lukewarm beer was already topping ú4 a pint in certain venues, and it is rather offset by the news that Asda are selling cans of own-brand fizzy lager for 22p* now.
twenty two pence ffs! it's like buff for tramps or something.
*44 cents, Americanos.

My local Sainsbury's is selling three eighteen tin cases (that's fifty-four cans) of beer for ú20.
We're not talking own-brand rubbish either.
Time to stock up for Christmas...

I realised something while reading this thread. Complaining about the price of beer in Europe to someone who lives in Iceland would be like an American complaining about the price of petrol to a European.

For some perspective, it's already 600kr (roughly ú5) in Iceland. Not that it stops us, though.

Same difference, it's the price of ingredients driving overall prices up. __________________

Indeed, but they quote the Lager and Bitter prices yet ignore Ale altogether !
At least they quoted someone from CAMRA in the article. :)

Well that's if you buy it at a bar, wich you really shouldn't do. If you go to -TVR and buy it there it's only like 300-350kr I think.
