Does anyone know exactly how many shots a faction crystal (For example, Amarr Navy Multifrequency L) can pump out before it poofs? I've heard 1000, but then someone told me 5000, and then someone else told me it was like conflag in that it was random damage. Anyone know for certain? I don't have a target I can test thousands of shots on to see.

check the crystals attribute tab. :)
it has 1 HP, there is a 1% chance it will receive damage, if it receives damage this will do 0.00025 HP of damage to the crystal. so by combining that data you can see that you should on average get 400000 shots out of a crystal before it fails.

You can easily check it on Scorch ammo. It has volatility of 0,1% and damage of 0,01. If what you were saying was right it would give me abt 100000 shots, but in fact average i get is 1000.
Same for faction ammo: everytime you shoot you get 0,00025 damage. Want to check it? Just fire 40 shots and check number. Then fire 40 more and check it change.
So average is 1000 for t2 (actually 100 to infinity) and 4000 for faction.

They are entirely misleading. In fact they're wrong.
Just to pull up the numbers. The Amarr Navy Gamma L reads the exact same volatility and volatility damage of NORMAL Gamma L. This would imply that it lasts the same amount of time as Gamma L (forever). Unless there is an attribute that is hidden from us all together, it should read more like T2 ammo.
Faction/Standard Crystals = Volatility 1% Volatility Damage 0.00025 HP
T2 Crystals = Volatility 0.1% Volatility Damage 0.01 HP and they have a 3rd category, Crystals Damage 1
At this point I have no idea what "volatility" represents. I'll be honest, I never check how much damage a crystal has on it after I shoot a few times so I can't say they last 100 or 1000 shots. If T2 Crystals only have "1 Damage" they should last like 100 shots at 0.01 damage a shot no?
At 0.00025 damage a shot, faction should last as long as standard ammo.
In my opinion all the numbers are lies or have nothing to do with anything. You definitely do not get 4000 shots out of a faction crystal by the way. Mine only lasted a couple hours tops. ---

Well after lots and lots of scorch l used up i can guarantee they have abt 1k shots.
Prolly there is hidden "takes damage" switch thats OFF on normal ammo and ON on t2/faction.

takes me from 10-16 missions to burn through faction ammo. well worth it

Tii last 1000 Ti last 1,000,000 which is ultimately irrelevant since you ship will break first. Faction last 10,000
Faction multis make conflag obsolete (if you can get it) but nothing can replace scorch so knowing both is usefull, unless your ship blows up first.

They dont... otherwise after 1st use they couldnt be stacked back.
