I certainly understand the 60+ year honeymoon is over with the US.
Done. Fin.
And just so you know, the mass media here from CNN on down the line are pretty much treating it all as a side story and it's dead in the water here. Sometimes propaganda is revealed by the absence of something. In this case they do want Americans to think nothing is going on, and the White House is only saying that friends have always spied on one another. (Yes, but never before their personal phone calls. Can you imagine the repercussions if someone like Kruschev had found out this kind of info ?).
/apology-rant over This is truly horrifying. And I must say the CIA is not very good anymore, always getting caught. ///Cough/// Rouge Nation ///Cough/// EDIT: I dont want to live in this Country anymore.
Talking politics? In OoPE?
Well, could as well add our perspective then.
Although it was never reported it in the mainstream media, it was a well known fact that the US are spying on us- especially the economy- for many decades. During the cold war many American intelligence centers set up here, and everybody was happy because they were supposed to protect us from the ebil Russians. But even before the end of the cold war, it became more and more apparent that their interest in German corporations and research facilities somehow appeared to be larger than their interest in our communist neighbours.
Now a few weeks ago Snowden made that stuff public and our politicians could no longer pretend to know nothing about it- unfortunately it was several days before elections so our government more or less refused to acknowledge that 80 million people are being wire tapped by the NSA and our glorious chancellor simply declared the discussion over. Nothing to see here, move along!
Now as it came out that even her own phone had been wire tapped, everybody loses his mind. The whole thing is pathetic and embarrassing if you ask me. Spies gonna spy, I am not mad at the NSA for doing their job.
But what really rustled my jimmies was the CNN news coverage two days ago, when an insufferable smug pundit was stating something like : "If the Germans didn't have something to hide, they wouldn't be so upset about it."
BURN!!!!!!!
So if you want to do me a favour and are currently in the US, please punch the soil beneath your feet. Somebody needs to punch America now...
Just think of how bad an average post by me is, and then realize half of them are even worse |

OK, you do know that when someone says 'I was there' it means they saw it live being performed in front of them, not sitting at home watching it on TV, right?
Anyway, the like stays due to the Drum Battle.

Good morning !
That face was right there at the morning's first website, in a story about new Amazon species.
These adorable things are so silly they actually purr like cats !
And this fish: Tometes camunani
I say it should be named the Moby-fish since it's a piranha, but it's vegan !
And there are 439 more, on the list, found just this past year.

Random McNally wrote:Best part of the Muppet show IMHO. Scary thing is, I'm beginning to relate to them. O.o
Disney is seriously being dumb in not using Statler and Waldorf in their own film, or a half hour TV show where they review movies or something. Henson created them as a tribute to Siskel and Ebert at the time.
Disney has owned the Muppets for almost 20 years and have just let it all go to waste, tbh. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

That burned my bacon too.
The thing is all they are pushing over here is "alies have always spied on allies". True...but only half-way. The issue is that they have never tapped the PERSONAL communications of the actual leaders before. That's a whole new ballgame.
I hate it how they take these obvious propagandistic ploys and phrases with the media, as if we are too stupid to see it for what it is. It's denigrating and insulting.
