Medieval used to be really high on my list, but the lack of co-op now a days hurt its ranking. Also, Rome 1 clans survived all the way to Rome 2. Thats impressive.
4 years ago i got back into Rome 1 and lets be honest, that and the expansion are the greatest of the whole series when it came to your family tree.
Stw 2 had huge potential in alpha, but then they removed basic things like renaming your generals/units. So games like Empire still make me smile when 'my little pony brigade' triumphs over another line brigade. Intrested in Null sec? Try, Priano. Ze Goggles |

never played the first shogun. i've seen pics of it though and it looks really bad graphically lol. never played the first medieval either. my first total war game i got any experience with was medieval 2. a friend had it and i watched him play it a few times before giving it a try myself. i enjoyed it i suppose to some degree. i was new to gaming then. i wasn't interested in the period but i became more interested in it after fiddling around with that game. empire was the first TW game that i bought myself. i was older then and had more patience for the sort of games they are.
unbeknownst to me, hiding within, i had the ability to design and execute a complicated campaign of violence to achieve my aims. was sort of surprising to discover tbh lol. anyone that knows me is probably aware i am the most non-violent person ever and nothing about my appearance suggests i'd be good at waging wars lol |

total warfare lol. i liked in empire that individual little towns where resources. like a farm or a factory or university. i would raid those until they were totally destroyed, blockade their ports, make friends with their enemies. assassinate their leaders, generals, steal their research (when they had something i didn't) i tried often to cut enemies that had large areas of land in two to stop them from combining armies or reinforce one another. i made good use of forts too.
however, in empire i was always terrible at sea warfare lol. i auto resolved most of those. unless i had a big advantage. i guess i don't know much about naval tactics

Ya, for what ever reason, once the naval battles got bigger than frigates and corvettes i was hopeless. Some was due to me having Vista, the rest was me just being like...i don't have onger's on my ship...or fire arrows...what do i do? What is this wind? Where are the oars men? Intrested in Null sec? I finally plugged in my free 250GB SSD today.
Now I have more SSD space then what I know what to do with.
I kind of want to pool the two SSD drives together but that might involve more effort then its worth and if one dies the other one will go down with it. People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

I actually had 2x 128GB SSD in RAID0 for a while. One of them is still in this computer and the other is in a 2.5 inch external enclosure that has USB 3.0 and eSATA 6Gbps People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

Anything! My favorite hard-disk filling activity involves flags with skulls, and bones, and parrots. You'll see any kind of space being filled quite fast that way.
That said, I have decided to take up on writing commissions, and you can check more about it on my blog. On other news, everything's been fine, and things are moving in a good way as I expected, but they are not quite settled down as much I want. ~ C.W.

It's a little old, but one of the best in it's sub-genre. Would have been great if a newer one were around, but strategy first got control of the franchise and snuffed it out it seems. The original creator tried to buy it from them but they wanted insane amounts of money for the rights, then they let the franchise die.
But if pref more real-time oriented strategy games then X3 http://store.steampowered.com/app/2820/ I've seen goldbox etc sales there go %50 off. If liking strategy board games then I'd go with chestmaster by ubisoft.
