It was the dark side of Sci-Fi, similar yet completely opposite of the Star Trek series, which I also enjoyed. DMC Yep, I watch it once a year, I have it on dvd. Classified as a space opera, good stuff. ST... hmmm... you know, DS9 was a Babylon 5 ripoff? A lot of controversy around it. They got an eye full of the B5 pilot script pitch, rejected it and then went to work writing their own version of the pilot idea to a Star Trek theme. B5 was far superior though, and written by a single writer.

It's not like there's anyone here who applies serious work to development of EVE avatars to even fire.
Project Avatar was disbanded ages ago and the only av-related updates we've had has been to introduce a few clothing items that'd been gathering dust from the beginning anyway. In effect it's already dead.
But I'm a firm believer in, and supporter of, avatar based development in EVE, and trying to be an optimist I'd hope that not ALL the related resources from WoD will be disbanded. Maybe we'll get lucky and have a dev or two move over to EVE? -áMajor (Ret.) Caldari Naval Militia | Part-time wormhole pirate | Full-time super model

If you could shoot people (PvP) in the face from the beginning of WiS I bet it would have went over way I bet. People always get excited about shooting others. People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

Guess you're not as much of a firm believer in WIS or Eve Avatar game supporter that you think you are, especially if you can't understand or see the reason why I wrote :

eh they will get around to it, WiS, in some form. Weren't they just talking last year about more concepts? About boarding stations, such as in/from exploration missions. So it's not dead like WoD, and likely cross-over work from WoD to EVE would not be ideal development practice regarding that. So I don't see closure of WoD to really effect WiS development.
Nope, no real supporter of WiS, not back then anyway. For the future I don't know, but I much prefer the direction they took to this point rather than leaving all the broken stuff for the future which would have just been put off for even later, just further kicked down the road. When I first opened a trial back when SWG released NGE (that destroyed the game for 90% of the playerbase), it was just too buggy to sub EVE. Second trial a year or two later was even worse! Years after my first trial I finally stuck around, but the bugs were just horrid, spent more time with other games and even left for a while after WiS was released. But they have made progress with EVE, so I have been sticking around.
I don't like buggy games. It's even rare for me to beta a game... and I'm one of the few that file actual reports; I don't just do it for a free ride like most. But I like development, and if I follow development on a game project I may kick in reports. But EVE, to labrat WiS while endure the unchanging buggy part of the spaceship game, rather have my eyelids stapled open and forced to watch Al Gore documentaries.
Would like to see DUST ported to PC though. When they finish debugging EVE well enough, finish balancing and finish these new dev tools they are working on that we don't get to see, I might get on the WiS bandwagon, though even better if WiS were less like WoD and more like DUST since I do like to FPS. I'm just too sexy for this catwalk stuff so sexy it hurts.
