As a chemist I often wonder about each of the individual atoms in my body and what history they've each had since the start of the universe and what history they are going to have after they leave my body again, until the end of the universe. How much we take on and shed again in our own lifetime and where each of those atoms came from and goes to.
The cows that they were part of, the grass before that. Carbon dioxide in the air before photosynthesis and who might have breathed the oxygen and produced it. The history of the water molecules, the trace elements, every part that comes together to make a person throughout their lifetime. The molecules in my brain. Who's brain might they have been in before? Or were they just part of an inanimate object, but became part of a thinking organism?
That we are all so intimately connected to each other and to the Earth has always fascinated me and that speech by Alan Watts summed up my own views so eloquently.

TY guys
Scipio, I used to post more some time ago while working but that's not possible anymore. It's no excuse but after work I like to focus more in-game things, the little I do there. Let's see if I can reactivate myself the coming summertime

Why I didn't learn of his lectures until my thirties I'll never know. This guy nails the meaning of life right on the head and his beliefs should almost be part of mainstream education IMO. For folks not familiar with him I recommend spending some time going through his lectures. Since his death his son has been busy keeping most of his material alive and circulating.

Just pick a highsec, grab a catalyst, stir gently and.... instant ****.
What's different imo is the whole context and setting.
When you actively "put yourself out there", on show in a livestream it's like putting a dozen plex in your cargo. You're asking for it, you want exposure, attention and to put on a show for folks. You're also giving anyone who's watching the same opportunity.
I've blown up Drake pilots in wormholes doing sites that've raged harder than AntiCod3 did. He's got the right spirit and will do well in EVE I think. If anything makes me feel a bit guilty it's that he wasn't even 2 months old. But you only need look at what he was doing and where to see it's not your a-typical newbie.

With a lot more subscribers now too.
Honestly though when anyone comes away from eve with a bad experience it's gotta be bad for the game. Where do we draw the line? At the point the public can see? So we can dupe them into joining and finding out the hard way that people are going to trick and murder them?
"That's so EVE." Was my favorite comment from my friend Mikhail after I told him about the AntiCod3 gank.
I'm not going to get myself into a situation where I think someone's going to get so pissed they'll quit. After watching the stream akready I knew this wasn't going to be that kind of situation, so I went and had the best time ever lol So did a ton of others and I'm sure it won't be long until AntiCod3 is laughing his ass off at the memories.
