Hey everyone :D.
PIF update: PIF just paid out the expected 10% dividends covering the month of december. I apologise for being one day late, I seem to have a habit of doing that. It's been a good month for PIF, as always. Before I begin a breakdown of the past month, I would like to remind people that the business plan of PIF is still not publicly availible (as specified in the IPO document) to avoid giving out market secrets that make the business profitable and as such, I may be a bit vague and cryptic.
I have expanded PIF's operating budget using personal isk and profits. I've made a shift from trading expensive products to trading larger volumes of a wider range of less expensive products, which has had the effect of increasing my workload but also decreasing the risk involved. This will lower the impact of any market manipulation problems in future. Since I switched from expensive products to cheap ones, liquidating the expensive stock freed up the isk difference between the expensive and cheap items.
This gave me about 5b to play with, which I invested back into the business to increase profits to an overall projected 4-6b per month with possible growth for december/january up to a range of 4-8b depending on market variance and patch changes. We'll still be paying the 10%/month (which comes to 2b total per month) as stated in the IPO document but the additional profit can be used to subsidise PSRS payments in times when that business is not going well.
PSRS Report PSRS has fallen on hard times as a direct result of CCP's game design staff. From time to time, CCP let their game design staff take a ***** at a devblog. Usually they suggest some problems with the game and discuss ways they could be solved and often the proposed changes are so controversial that they generate a heated debate in which players attempt to tear the ideas to pieces looking for flaws. It's a way to get the players to work as a sort of QA team for free. This time, they turned their hands to Motherships.
With proposed nerfs to the mothership, every mothership business across eve almost ground to a halt overnight. Everyone saving up for a mothership decided to wait until after the patch in case they were nerfed, lots of motherships were dumped on the market by their owners expecting price drops after the patch and some businesses have even been forced to close. PSRS is no different, we've seen good mothership bpc prices drop from 3-4b with a healthy demand to sometimes under 2b and practically no demand. The Aeon BPO we were renting out has come back with a cancelled rental contract too.
It is regrettable that a single devblog from CCP could impact the market so drastically and I do expect it to pick back up again when the patch hits and motherships are fine. In the mean time, I regrettably will have to involk the non-payment of dividends clause as stated in the IPO document here:
Quote:
In the unlikely event that blueprint research is interrupted or other unforseen difficulties in the business occur, I reserve the right to cancel a month's dividend payments at a time at my own discretion if I feel that it is required to keep the business running in the long-term. I promise not to use this unless it's absolutely required to keep the business afloat. As this is a long-term investment scheme with relatively high returns, I expect all investors to be fully aware of what they are investing in and have confidence in my ability to manage the company as best as I can.
This should only occur for a single month, covering the month of December. Dividends should resume in January at the promised return rate of 5% with aims to meet 7% if possible. If the mothership market does not recover but PIF performs well, isk from PIF will be diverted to subsidise PSRS and allow dividends to resume.

I'd like to thank my investors for investing in these two businesses and as always I promise to run them to the best of my ability. PSRS is a long-term investment plan and will be run with the long-term future of the project in mind. As such, these rare and unusual circumstances require this month's dividend to be suspended. Expanding PIF out of profit and my own wallet in order to generate enough income to subsidize PSRS is a plan that will cost me a a lot of my own free time each month but it does give the best results to shareholders.
I'd like to remind people that we are currently offering a number of different sales in this thread, including sale of a Nyx bpc and sale or rental of the Nyx and Aeon BPOs. If even one of the bpos is rented out successfully or sold, dividends will resume in january at the 7% mark.

Oh, no idea how I missed this thread earlier. Perfectly understandable, hopefully CCP will finally decide what exactly to do with motherships (and carriers) so the market won't keep being such a fickle mistress.

Thanks for the support :).
I have managed to scale PIF up to 4 billion net profit after costs and will be meeting next month's 10% PIF and 5% PSRS dividends with that. It's been a lot of work and I can only hope that it holds steady next month. The PSRS assets are being sold (if I can find buyers) and profit for PSRS should reach 7% in the long term again (no ETA on that currently).
I've just finished a new spreadsheet that should help :)
