I'm saving up my Isk for the next two months, so I wanted to know what I should train in to fly ether effectively I'm probably going to end up getting the mega but the dominix is a great drone boat I here and I like my vexor.
So what would be the skills to train in for these two ships remember I have a two month time frame so throw anything out there that comes to mind and would be good to have since I could train in anything pretty much during this time.

Drones, capacitor and armor skills, also engineering 5 electronics 5 and if you have time, weapon upgrades 5 and advanced weap upgrades 3 or 4, if your going for the mega, gunnery and navigation.

I'd recommend going for a Dominix first since it's a little less skill intensive to be flown sucessfully. I therefore suggest that you first get started on your armor and energy skills and get thoose to IV in order to tank somewhat sucessfully, then you'll want large guns but wait with t2 - before that get your drone skills way up so you can use t2 drones. If you haven't already you need to get the reqs for an MWD and after that work on the t2 gunnery skills and get all the other ones up to IV.
- You'll also need grid/cpu skills like advanced weapon upgrades, engineering V, electronics and so fourth. It's booring but you have to =(.

Ishtar is better drone boat than Domi btw. Same drone bandwidth as Dominix, t2 resists so it can tank even with only one MAR2, much easier to get max damage bonus (lvl 5 cruisers is easier than lvl 5 battleships), and much more maneuverable.
Yes, its easier to get in Dominix, but after domi train for Ishtar, thats what Im getting too, its almost as good as pre-trinity Myrm.

i disagree somewhat, the ishtar is a fine ship, can be nanao'd, tanked flown with ranged setups but the domininx is a much better drone boat if speed of movement is not key either solo or in a gang.
BS 5 is only needed to complete a training plan, 4 is perfectly acceptable for day to day use.
the dominix gives you access to battleship sized nos/neuts or battleship sized guns and whilst extra training they are well worth it to make really tough tanks or high DPS, or uber damage.
oh and the ishtar is not insureable and is a 100 and something mil loss, the dominix is fully insureable if ISK is an issue.
