That would be a 9/10 as pose is meaningless, but then background looks weird and awful, so that's -1 and turn out a 8/10.
Try using the "white blob" background or the "blue raindrops" one or a flat color one. Forget about anything that is intended to be a vertical background.

Very expressive avatar. Great use of illumination and pose, although the blue light seems a bit off. Quite represents how capsuleers like to portrait themselves. All in all, 9/10.

I find myself really liking this avatar. Very much like the "smart casual" look. Not sure if that was intentional or not but she looks all business. Overall would rate 8/10 but I'm stingy with ratings.

Very nicely done. Her face has character - to me she seems someone who is now successful but had a hard time getting there. The pinched determination I see in her face suggests to me that she will stop at nothing to retain her position in life, yet is saddened by the need to resort to extreme measure to do so.

Jandice great outfit! I wish there were more clothing options in this game. It's remarkable how no two avatars look the same here. All are quite different. Just need more clothing variety for people to choose from.
Some dramatically so like The Kiddie Fiddler (I should probably look out for that guy, LOL). 5/10 I like how different it is, but the look too closely resembles the name. :-P |

^ Jandice, 7/10 Great pose and outfit. Her face somehow looks out of focus. The first thing I thought upon seeing it that the portrait's too small for in-game chat. The gray background works but is a little bland.

I quite like it! In fact, I think it's worthy of a 8/10. I like it's simplicity, the hair looks good too. To improve, maybe angle the face towards the camera more and maybe play with the facial expression.
EDIT: @Sahara Wildcat - I think I've rated you before. I think I gave you around 7-8/10 last time and I think I've not changed my mind too much on it.

Houm...nice traits and pose is correct. Framing is a bit so-so but lighting works well. What I don't buy is make up, eyeliner and eyeshadow look like you just did your eyes with a spray can.
Will say a 7/10 but could be improved.
