Had a dig around and couldnt find anything readly avaliable so heres my question.
On the price history table (not the graph) for previous days, is orders how many sold that day and volume is how many were for sale that day?
Thanks!

Orders is how many individualized transactions took place. Volume is total sold via the market that day.

For clarification, does that volume include sales to satisfy buy orders? Or, is it simply the number of sell orders filled?
Or, is 'orders' the total number of both types, and 'volume' the number of sell orders only?

This is one of those extremely simple things that people unintentionally complicate. Orders and Volume track "transactions". It does not distinguish between type or kind of transaction. All transactions.
So yes, the averages represented can be skewed due to low ball buyers as well as due to price gouging sellers. Doesn't make a difference, they are all transactions.

It may not list outliers in those numbers, it is hard to tell. Outliers are definitely not represented in the high/low prices for the day.

While this thread wasn't my post, you're very helpful. Thank you.

Actually as I see it, the outliers are the high and low. I give little faith in those particular numbers specifically. I do look at the though. =) I'm going mum any further on this topic as it is starting to intrude on tactics. =)

I don't know exactly how it calculates outliers, but it probably looks at volume instead of just the price. 500m buy-order-typo battleships will show up, but high-volume goods like minerals and ammo won't.

The outliers are most definitely not listed on that sheet. The high's and low's listed leave off some orders that exceed or fall below those values because they do not occur in large enough quantities to meet the criteria CCP uses to determine outliers.

Does the price history list all transactions in the region? When I change the range filter it doesn't make any difference.
