The EVE: Trinity expansion has been deployed and Tranquility has returned to service. If you have an issue after the deployment, please check the below list as well as the Known Issues page to see if the Dev Team is already aware of it and submit a bug report. If you are unsure of what has been changed in this patch, please take a look at the Patch Notes page.
EVE: Trinity Features and Improvements are also available for review.
Please keep discussion constructive and on-topic. Negative, spam or posts not directly related to the patch deployment, bugs or issues will be deleted.
The Dev Team will be monitoring this thread throughout the next few days to keep abreast of the patch deployment and status.
Known Issues: Items will be added to this list based upon feedback in this thread.

Time stamp in chat can be set by right clicking on text in a chat channel.

I was running EVE via Cedega prior to Trinity. Tried patching it - no joy, looped.
Tried uninstalling EVE and installing fresh Classic version. No joy. Tried uninstalling, install previous version and patch. No joy. Tried uninstalling and using so-called 'Linux client' - no joy. Splash and crash is the best I can get. I don't suppose there's any chance of a PROPER Linux version sometime? :-}
Im also disappointed that, it would seem, there isnt a hope in hell of running the Premium graphics version on this PC, as I dont have 2GB of RAM. Considering how little one sees of ships generally, I confess to finding the push on ship graphics a tad strange - the extant ones looked fine to me. :-}
Still, I'm looking forward to CCP and transgaming sorting the install issues out, so I can carry on playing... :-)
One thing that has worked in some cases for getting past the "splash and crash" issues on the Linux client:
+ Go into the EVE Online Configuration tool (Applications -> Games) + Under "Configure Options", select the Audio tab + In the ALSA settings, set CTL and PCM devices to default (note down first what they were originally set to in case this does not help)

Delete everything in that Settings subfolder. Now EVE should work.
Caveats! You will loose a lot of your in game settings, e.g. * Overview settings * Custom folders in people and places (really annoying this one) * Window layouts * Other stuff!
Loosing some of those settings really sucks, but at least you'll be able to play EVE again.
Note I've found deleting the contents of the "machonet" subfolder is also generally a good idea on patch day. This also contains a bunch of cached stuff that will get re-downloaded.

Can you try running the logserver when you start up your client, and submit the files it generates as a bug report so that we can look into this issue further.
Also try opening a command prompt (start -> run -> "cmd") and type the following: tracert 87.237.38.200 and paste the results in here.
Still getting this even after deleting the Settings in the config folder... now I'm pasting them back (I had a backup) cause maybe it was not a good idea... soo
PLZ help me CCP!!!

Count me as number 5 in this thread who can't enter any text into the game, login or otherwise. I can however tab through the controls in Settings, but that is it. Completely removing all of the cache files did nothing. I should also note that the first time I logged in it worked fine. It was only after I exited the first time that I was unable to enter text.
Using the official Linux Client, but I don't think the others were. I would submit a bug report but there are no instructions for running the LogServer under Linux

several people in my corp are missing boot.ini files

With all the above done the same graphics issue remained. Inside stations the graphics are great, but outside all ships and stations turn to white silhouettes.
Latest Drivers Windows XP (fully updated) Graphics Card: Winfast PX7800 GTX THD (supports shadier model 3 û Verified)
Is this in just the premium client, or also in the classic client too?

You nailed it. Happened the same to me. Had to delete the file from EVE cache in Program Files.
hmm, interesting, i deleted my test client completely, and i checked in my eve folder - there IS no cache there. chacked in application data, none there either, where on earth IS it!?
On XP: C:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\ccp\eve
On Vista: C:\users\username\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE
You may need to enable the display of hidden files and folders to see the path though. -- The cake is a lie! |

It's a db optimization, and all the possible outcomes should be covered - that includes changing systems, downtimes etc. If you do find that your bounties aren't getting paid out, please bug report it, but we think we've got all the bases covered

Double-click the strip and it'll re-extend. This is now a generic feature on the majority of windows, and can be activated on all open issues with the Tab key if you need to clear your screen in a hurry.

The TQ numbers are intended and form part of the fix. Due to a mix-up with column order the original tag set was entered backwards They should be ordered now so that the most valuable tags are the ones which are required in the largest numbers in order to maintain their value; given that all tags drop at roughly equivalent frequencies, values are determined by demand quantities. Having the "least valuable" tag be required in the largest numbers inverts this, so we decided to fix it as part of the general update we had to do. Yes, I acknowledge that this is somewhat disruptive, but it's one of those situations where the problem needs to be resolved at some point, and we chose this patch to do so.
