The introduction of scripts is terrible, Sensor Booster II had a 60% bonus to speed and range now its 30% CCP why are u making us micro manage modules now, was it to gimp stealth bombers, sniping battleships and sensor dampening recon's all of which are the tools of the trade for the 0.0 corps.

Gankageddon - Dead. Free ECM - Dead. Exists in force only on specialized ships. Nano BS - Dead. Nos - Dead. Drone survivabillity - Gone. Free Damps - Dead. Existance insignificant, even on specialized ships.
Well, the only hope i have left is that next time it's the vaga. It's the only balanced ship in game that hasn't been nerfed a thousand times yet. -

When was the last time you used a Sensor Amplifier?
With equal nerfs to TC's and SB's wouldn't the general engagement range simply be... shorter? And if you're not in a sniping battleship, what is it that struck you badly enough to create a new thread on here?

we did? how. . .Its not the snipers that are catching smaller ships, its the support. . .hell, I can't even hit a smaller ship with my artis due to tracking. . .I just don't see you logic.

What one man calls "Unnecessary complication", another man calls "options". As it stood, I think they were trying to curb omni-bonuses. Modules that had great performance increases to multiple stats. I think they've succeeded.
By the logic of "rigs/overheating/scripts" are all extra stuff we don't need, then we may as well be playing asteroids online.
As an Gallente recon pilot, this hurts somewhat, but I still think it was the right thing to do. Sure my dampeners are less effective now [much less] but so are the enemies' sensor boosters and so are their Tracking Computers. If this had been the way the system had been implemented in the beginning, people wouldn't have anything to complain about. The only reason they complain now is due to the fact that they're used to being able to do everything with one module. A one-module-many-benefits module should have consequences.
Regardless, it's done now. Adapt/Die: pick one.

scripts still seem a bit cludgy and make-work.
if the Only thing that was wanted was the splitting of effects I think it would have been better used as a built in effect, rather then another item that must be sorted, must be kept in cargo, must be swapped, must be kept in a carrier to restock or put in an unpacked ship etc etc.
built in effect meaning you could toggle a weapon to either mode all by itself, no script to build or keep track of.
the only thing that makes scripts seem clever is the Possible option of adding named or faction or something scripts, but as its never been mentioned by a dev its fairly doubtful.
if metadrones, which seem to require the drone version of faction spawns and commander loot to be built or even researched, are worth so much mention then Surely "and we are going to have named and faction Scripts" would have come up too.

Those modules were probably a little overpowered pre-nerf - especially on ships without bonuses.
But now those modules aren't even very effective on ships WITH bonuses.
I think over time CCP will realize these went too far with this and will increase the bonuses only on the appropriate ships. |

When was the last time you used a Sensor Amplifier?
You ever use a damage mod? It's a lowslot module... That means my muninn just got nerfed to all hell. Used to be able to lock at 160, optimal 120, 150 dps w/ faction lead.
Now.. it's dumb. Even with the same 2 sensor boosters (range and time scripts trinity style) My ship can't even lock past it's optimal. I have a muninn with 2 locus rigs on it that will never be able to target past it's optimal.. Even WITH a sensor amplifier.
I understand they want closer engagements... but what they did is make the locking range LESS than the guns can actually effectively shoot. So my 14m in gunnery is wasted.
We need more Locking Range/Scan Resolution skills?

whats the common school of thought on activation times ...?
what i mean is if i want to deactivate my TC to swap out the optimal script for a tracking one i have to wait like 30 sec for the mod to deactivate .;..
fine give us scripts ..but lower the activation times on some of the longer activation mods (plus cost as well obviously) so we can swap scripts in time to actually have a meaningful effect
what say you savages?

The only grip I have with scripts is that you have a wait for the module to desactivate before you can change scripts, and that + scritps means it will be really bad where there will be lag.
Other than that, all that is needed is the playerbase adapting to new rules.... ------------------------------------------

Its not the issue about snipers catching smaller ships, its not really about solo snipers either for that matter. This is about actually giving sniper fleets ONE drawback. They got long range, ok but they should compensate with lock time for it. 3x of those and you can safely tackle/manage a ship outside 25-30km range where your disruptor works a charme.
Even 3x t2 dampeners, with skill at 4 and without a bonused ship can "try" to bring the lock range of your target at 20km or so, and with some micro-management you could survive at distance keeping point.
The problem is another: Scan res is not lowered, i tackled today a raven in mission, sent my 4x Hammerhead t2, well, he was unable to lock me, but he was able to lock and kill my whole dps in less then 1 min :)
What i can see is that CCP is trying to specialyze everything, and remove the "misc" modules from use in "all the ships", even sensor booster that was a "common" module, pretty much useful everywhere and with low fit requirement, now is specialized...
Dampeners are still useful for "keep your target there while avoiding beign shooted at" but you still get drones up your face, and with some ships is a problem :) the killing potential of all "damp" ships is reduced greatly due to the low time now needed for lock drones.

Scripts are just another symptom of overcomplication.. reducing the effect of many modules overnight. But now, the've nerfed drones again, reducing the Myrmidon to being a piece of rubbish. CCP stop listening to whiners and think of the silent majority for once.

What ****es me off is they seem to have nerfed or broken the Arazu's damp bonus. I'm getting the same damp percentages in my alt's Rapier (spent a while yesterday testing things out) and the razu even has dampening rigs.....
So to sum up: Damps have been weakened. Arazu bonus does not appear to work. Damp rigs do not seem to work. I is sad panda.

I do not whine..I do not initiate I merely reciprocate.
Never have I complained about my lot unless A. a bunch of ****s on forums start crying nerf nerf...in actual fact the are mainly nothing but attention seekers looking for their own name with a list of other replying in a forum post..sad ****ers no doubt about it.
B. ccp decides to actually give notice of a nerf and a discussion is started.
Anyway nerf this nerf that is spoiling peoples enjoyment of the game and certain parts of the forums should be a valid means of voicing peoples concerns of how the game is going, not just for flexing faccid epeens.
A lot of peeps in game are more than questioning ccp's reasoning on previous patches/nerfs Personally I've stopped one account because of a previous patch and am a gnats penii length away from doing the same with my 2nd.

Type some more in ANGRY CAPLOCK WITH LOTS OF *STARS*....that will get your point across much better.
