I'm fairly new to the game (little over a month) but as a business/accounting major I am following a lot of whats discussed here.
Are there places where a player with not huge amounts of isk can invest in? I myself take the long view on a lot of things so i was hoping I could invest a couple of mill in something with the hopes of getting something back 6+ months down the line.
I hope this post made sense. Its finals week and my brain is fried.

The Board of Directors who govern EBANK has just passed a majority vote to begin Phase III of our expansion. We are expanding our interest bearing account cap from 40 billion to 75 billion. All existing accounts are now interest bearing, all new accounts will be interest bearing within a few days of initial creation.
We have 290 users now, we expect to have 600 users by the time the cap is reached.

DATAC is currently selling shares. Investors of all sizes are welcome. Besure to read atleast the first page of the IPO thread so that you can evaluate the risks/rewards of this venture.

You may want to look into the stock market, as well. You can buy and sell shares there without having to watch the forums like a hawk for new investments, and typically the corporations listed are reliable.
Here's EGSEx and the other is RESX both accessible through the IGB.

I'm going to give you the obligatory "Don't Invest Yet!" rant. Investing small sums of ISK is usually not the best idea. Getting a high return on small sums of ISK without a lot of work isn't very difficult, because there's not a lot of it. You might only have to manage 2 or 3 buy orders, or a few trade routes or whatever, so making it grow at rates of 20%, 50% or even 200% a month isn't at all unseemly without much effort.
By contrast, most investments promise 5%-10% return if you're luck per month, which is great if you've got hundreds of millions of ISK lying around doing absolutely nothing, but otherwise... Investments are best saved for when you've run out of energy or tycoon slots/alts and trading isn't really feasibly on a 150+ order scale.
My two cents.
