If I look at my standings for that NPC corp on my character sheet, I see I still have positive standings.
But the new revelations bugged my standings, so I have 0 agents. I'm upset about losing my available agents. I have .44 standings on my character sheet, but still no agents.
Obviously either I lost standings by failing missions for Caldari Business Tribunal(impossible), or Revelations just TOOK my standings. I imagine that the agent standings are calculated directly from faction standings and not the corporate standings. It used to be the opposite, which is why I could do level 1 missions for any NPC corp. I could do some level 1 missions for any corp in the game until I lost standings with that corp, or all the available agents.
Could CCP have just changed the Available Agents calculation without testing it? Or did they want the NPC corps to appear schizophrenic with each new patch. I like Eve, but do my opinions mean anything?
Let's look at YOUR account. What faction (Gallente, Amarr, Caldari, Serpentis, Angel Cartel) are you negative with? Go to member corps for that faction. Now look for available Agents for the member corps of the faction you are negative in standing with. Do you have any agents available for any of them? But didn't you run missions for them previous to the patch?

I have negative ratings with Minmatar and I have a level 2 agent in Minmatar Republic Fleet. I think this is just happening to you, probably a bug, petition it.

Looking your character standings in game I see your Caldari state standing (before diplomacy) is -2,80.
So I suppose that without noticing it you have done too much missions for the enemies of the Caldari and gone beyond the -2.0 faction standing with them after diplomacy.
A negative value of -2 or worst with a faction block the access to any corporation in that faction, irregardless of your standing with the single corporation.
So if you want to have access to Caldari corporation you need to train diplomacy to the point where you have more than -2 faction standing and/or do missions with factions friendly with Caldari to raise your standing through derived modifiers.
In both case you need to avoid to do missions against the Caldari as ship kills will put you beyond the point where diplomacy can help you.

Edited by: Xsyla on 14/12/2007 08:13:20 in my opinion there are 2 problems with the standings. i filled a petition but got no answer yet .. you will not find very much about those issue. dont know if no one recognized it or if its the general "petition it" answer ... anyway, i dont believe ccp intended the calculation in that way... If you like to find out more about you standing changes, go to the standing tab, look up the corp and right click, choose transaction and check the list, you can too right click every transaction listed and get some more details. if you like to pvp from time to time i guess the most reasonable answer for your standing "loss" is the 2nd problem
1st standing problem:
http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=654433 http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=655667
2nd standing problem: (copy from my standing):
ID: 10xxxxxxxx Date: 2007.12.06 Value: -16,66667% Reason: Combat - Pod Kill
Detail: This penalty was incurred for podding Perkone in M-OEE8 (thats a 0.0 system)
hopefuly not IBTL ... i would like to see some more feedback

Yes. Every faction navy has few level 2 agents deep in low sec who will talk to anyone who has faction standings above -2. It has nothing to do with corp standings (as long as those are also above -2).
