Which skills (apart from learning) shorten the time to learn other skills. I found out that one of my skills that took 4 days to learn could be learned by my buddy in half the time. Per ardua ad astra

Skill training time is determined by the rank of the skill, and your attributes. Implants and learning skills can be bought/trained to raise these attributes - any skill under the learning category in the market will raise various attributes, show info on them to see what does what.

Edited by: Vertex Eisenstein on 11/12/2007 13:57:07 Each skill has a primary and secondary attribute that effects the speed you learn it at. For industrial type skills these are usually intelligence and memory, for ship/combat stuff its usually perception and willpower and social/trade/corp management skills use charisma and memory/intelligence.
Under the learning skills catagory on the market there are several skills that effect your attributes. These come in two tiers. The first tier must be trained to 4 to train the second tier. Each level on these skills increases the specific attribute by one point. It is a good idea to train them all up as much as you can bear as it will pay dividends in the future. Prioritise learning skills which increase the attributes that are used by skills you plan to train soon, eg. train up the perception and willpower skills if you intend to spend time training for new ships in the near future.

Your learning time is governed by your attributes. That is the number of points you have of Perception, Will, Intelligence, etc. More points in one area helps you learn things faster that have that area as a primary or secondary attribute themselves.
The number of points you have is determined by several things.
1) The choices you made creating the character. 2) The Learning Skills you have mastered. 3) The implants you have.
