does this patch fix the display/sound of mining lasers and strip miners?
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
If possible, I think we'd appreciate some info (date/time) at the beginning of the patchnotes when you did the last update to them, so we can see if something was recently added without having to filter through it manually.
Thanks in advance =)
Will this update include a stability fix for the OS X client? (This is a serious question, not an attempt to start a platform holy war.)
Edited by: DukeJoost1 on 14/12/2007 21:16:19 Will the jitter in premium version be fixed ? Thats the jumping of the target title from the target to another location on screen, together with distant asteroids or structures, at roughly 10fps, when lots of activity on screen. Might be related to mouse button use. Happens often in missions and is highly disturbing and disorienting.
Nice last line btw.
I'm sorry, but that is NOT funny. Some1 made a mistake (a single extra keystroke, mind you) and CCP has owned up to it. We need to move on. Besides, the CORRECT fixes (ie not reinstalling your ENTIRE operating system) are fast and non-destructive.
Doesn't matter if it's a keystroke or 10. It was a severe mistake, with universe-wide consequences, a bump down in trust, and YOU are the one who should respect other people's losses. As far as your brown-nosing goes, that's typical of low life forms.
I'm not brown nosing. I am stating a FACT. it takes all of 30 minutes and half a brain to access a dead system. Less time if you are prepared. For more info read this thread and my post here.
No, you're stating a LIE. The typical end-user system nowadays has a recovery partition, so the ONLY thing the user can do is to replace his complete installation with the supplier's image. (But that's easy, just one Recovery button to press...)
And even if there was a XP CD in the box---I've got an OEM XP CD here that has the recovery console disabled. Have fun reparing your boot.ini with that CD...
---
But to stay halfway on topic: Dear DEVs, it seems very unclear at the moment what bugs are accepted as bugs by you---and what bugs we need to spam more bug reports for. Maybe you could create a page listing all (non-exploitable) problems that were introduced with trinity and their status (need-more-bugreports, cause-identifyed, will-be-in-next-patch)...
Please add these changes to classic client: 1. more transparent pinned windows and overview (they are dark now) 2. an option, wich can take away the blinking windows contol on mouse move. I'm realy tired of this 3. an option, wich can switch off windows autodocking (please make them dockable only if a special button pressed)
Will there be a fix for the overview??? Getting people stuck in your overview didn't use to be a problem, because you could refresh. I get people stuck in my overview all the time, even after jumping through systems. Also some who should be yellow are red. Can we have a way to refresh the overview again, or can you guys fix it.
Yes, none of YOUR files.
Someone missed the self-deprecating humor in the patch note.
u can double-click twice over the top of the overview near the settings triangle, it will collapse and reopen the overview and get rid of 'stuck' items/chars
It was a lie! /tinfoil... Seriously, I'd like to know too, might be added in the weekend tough
Originally by: Kurogauna - fixing mining laser
Ah well, just a broken effect, this should be low on the to fix list to be honest, jump bridges are more game breaking :x But yes, this is a bug, and it will be fixed, either this patche or in a patch that is to come.
Please fix the contract creation by right-clicking a selection of items. At the moment it is completely broken.
Please fix the "show corp members in space" map option - while you said you fixed this in the Trinity patch notes, it is as broken as it was before.
Thank you.
Read the thread
How about this thread: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=651459
The issue is that it is *not* addressed in the patch notes, and it needs to be, as many players have lost millions or billions in implants due to clone jumping. These players are now afraid to jump again out of fear of losing even more implants (with their initial reimbursement petitions overdue for a reply). Players who lost implants were told to not buy new ones - so they are stuck training at a slower rate, waiting on reimbursement.
The fix that everyone is waiting for in order to become "unstuck" is the fix that remains strangely absent...
16 pages of posts in 1 weeks time, with no "it's ok to jump, guys" from CCP. Now the first post-trinity patch and *still* no word on this significant issue.
I realize there is other stuff to fix, but how about prioritizing things a bit, eh? I thought 'stuck' was supposed to get priority.
