Anyway got theories on what has happened with the missile markets? I see that the volume of sold missiles has gone down and the price has fallen to a level that makes manufacturing of them unprofitable.

are you talking about T2 missiles?
Faction missiles do almost as much damage, as the hi-damage T2 versions, but without any drawback, and no need to fit a T2 launcher.
Also T2 material prices jumped because of the introduction of new T2 ships.
(if T1 missiles, than just buy up, and reprocess/sell them somewhere else. Stupid industrialists can apperar anywhere)

Trinity also reduced the manufacturing time for T2 missiles by a factor 4-5.

I was mostly thinking about the torps, but the effect is amasing. People are just producing and selling it with loss.

All of the missiles I produce are built with materials I've mined myself, so rather than pay market based mineral prices for minerals I can mine in hi-sec space and make a loss on the sales, I can choose my own price for the produced items and make a profit.
Also mining my own stuff means I end up with excesses of materials I don't need, which again are sold for profit on the markets.
That said I mainly deal with Heavy class missiles and so far I only play with the T1 stuff.

How the hell is this a profit. You mine and then spend more ISK to turn the minerals into something that you sell for less than the minerals?
Why bother, just sell the minerals. Eventually when no-one is making missiles anymore, the prices will rise again and you step back in to a profitable market.
Personally, unless I can make a minimum of 25% on the mineral value, I just sell the minerals. I'd rather use my valuable skills to use factory slots for profitable items.
In the meantime, I'm happy to buy your missiles, turn them into minerals and make something profitable. It's a lot easier than mining my own and cheaper than buying minerals on the market.

You're an idiot in economics.
If this wasn't a game you would be bankrupt by the end of the month.
Well.. at least the resellers will capatilaize on your dullness, buy your missiles, reprocess them and sell the minerals for a profit..
And maybe you'll get wardecced also.. I mean, idocy needs to be punished, doesn't it?

Well, I wouldn't go so far as a war dec in this case. Why stuff up such a great source of cheap minerals.

Yeah... that one... Set your torpedos fitted ship against, say, a Guristas Destroyer (they keep at 50K range) and see how well you do. With those "massively boosted" torpedoes of yours... The ROF at which you'll be wasting them is gonna be pretty good though, that's a bonus, right?

Yes. This massive boost is the reason they're so cheap .

Yes, and then use the same torpedoes to totally pwn a megathron in pvp or a kronos for that matter. But I agree its a "nerf" to torp market since most of the old torp users were npc'rs going afk in their ravens. This in turn increases the demand for cruises which were better for most missions even before (aside from the bs heavy ones) ---------------------------------------

Actually, cruise-Raven was always the way to go if you wanted to semi-afk missions. Pre-Trinity, torp-Ravens required heavy micro-managing in missions but were well worth the extra work.
