Hello again,
Now we go back to the days of art and blood, and find out how the two traitors in Black Mountain found each other. I should warn you that parts of story are fairly Biblical, in the Old Testament sense.

Following the Black Mountain story from it's beginning. I honestly didn't expect more background on the two traitors, great work! I like the style this chronicles are written in, nice combination of gore, interesting characters and metaphysics. Looking forward to the next installment :D

I must say I was a little suprised, as mentioned above, that we got more background. Very nice indeed. Interesting development for of the sisters operatives. Im eagerly waiting for the next part.

I'm slightly confused by the sentence 15 paragraphs from the end reading "He didn't want to do his." Is that "his" supposed to be a "this," or am I just too damn dense to get it? (the latter being more likely) Great read, again.
Those silly pirate miners. If they didn't want to die in those dank and dark mining facilities, they'd lobby Concord to remove the bounty on destroying such establishments. It's not like it's hard to bribe Concord, a few million here, a couple thousand there, and Viola, then those dirty pigs will even HELP you kill the innocent. /me holds a fashionable three cornered-Gallente hat to her chest (complete with over-sized plume) It is ::cough:: noble, however, that the Sisters try to save everyone, even the pirates. I'll be sure to lighten the Sisters' work load by being more thorough in vaporizing the rubble and remains the next time I find such a facility in my targeting arrays. Being I'm pretty Agnostic, and not really in Christian Orginated writings, I find one note CCP is most religious game company it seems.
But besides these trivial things, the story itself seems pretty nice, though wish you added alot less gore but more surrealism. Though the concept of it all was purely intricate, and balanced.
Though it does seem like your focusing alot about how Capsuleer pilots are the demi-gods, the lords of war and death, thoses of fate and no virtue. It seems that even in all the writings, you could at least include something about independent capsuleers vs. Serviced Capsuleers.
Though all together a good story this story reminds me of sort of a Mix of Nietz, Norse/Celtic Traditional, and sort of atlantean to a degree.

Edited by: Khal on 18/12/2007 06:35:43 I am left wondering if you have ever read Fear and Trembling by Kierkegaard. This is like the Knight of Faith concept, but in a twisted human form. Analyzed like this, the fact that he was willing to kill himself and believed that he would die, but at the same time can be seen as his belief in the Absurd... however, it doesn't make too much sense because he doesn't regard his actions as against morality. I just wish you had a little bit in there about his hesitation to kill the woman.. maybe a moment where he must overcome his ethical sphere to become one with his religious (absolute/murderer??) side (he kills her but does so with fear and trembling knowing what he is doing is wrong... kinda goes against your idea though). Of course, thats just my fancy.
All in all, brilliant, great flow and progression... a little confusing as to the timeline, because i hadn't read back that far for a while, but works well in sequence. 5 stars, i eagerly await the next installment. ------------------------------------- Please do everyone a favor, don't sign your posts....

ôIt wasn't until he went on the first mass-rescue mission, in yet another pirate refinery wrecked by some murderous capsuleer, and came upon the first mass of writhing, screaming humanity trapped within, that he truly felt this core inside of him start to ***** openö.
I have to say I was a little worried at seeing yet another Black Mountain story thinking its gone on long enough. But itÆs a great story and the above lines about capsuleerÆs are perfect. The rest of it is great two. You can read so many different things inbetween the lines. Classic case of possible puppet masters but then again there might not be any at all.

That was an interesting story that once again proves that New Eden isn't a nice place and neither are its denizens.
