Mynx La'Rue GoonFleet GoonSwarm	Posted - 2007.12.19 09:59:00 - [1] Goons are known for zerging tacticts, smack, misbehaviour, scamming and whatever dishonourable actions you might imagine. I just want to point out that not everyone in Goonfleet follow same "rules" as most of our corpmates. There is a tight knit of people who beleive that even in game people should behave like they do in real life. Most of them play in ANZAC squad and some in Eurosquad. We treat others like we want others to treat us: with respect and honour. My brother in arms Althair Erin has spoken in this thread and I agree with most of what he said. Just so you know, not all Goons are just goons, some Goons fly with honour. We will try our best to protect innocent pilots from misbehaviour from our lost brothers. It's the best we can do while being in Goonfleet. Fly with honour. Fly safe.

I'm sure there are good guys in goons that don't smack and fly with honour, but if you don't want to be associated with the bad aspect of the goons, ie smacking, scamming, end flaming etc, why would you fly with them? Like I said in my thread, we all have our personal reasons for joining whatever corporation we belong to. In my case I have many IRL friends in GoonFleet, and I wouldn't want to fly without them. I understand that many corporations have a negative view of GoonFleet because of the past, but we younger players don't feel bound by that history. I understand that you feel it would be more sensible to just join a group that seems to fit our interests and style better, but I want to stay close to my friends. That's why I put out a call for change from within.

I will confirm that.........There are Great Goon Pilots that do fly with honor and respect. GOON is like the real world in ways. I will admit we have many great pilots, but being such a large alliance, yes we do have a few butt-heads too. But that exist in just about every corp and alliance in EVE however. Being bigger we might have a few more. All and all GOONS are great people; a few bad apples might make a lot of noise at times but we all are on a solid mission. I can speak very strongly for BattleStars we are a CORP of great people beyond EVE, but also in the real world of life and we take that into our game play as well. We have members of all race and I'm not speaking og game race but real world, members with new borns, just starting a family, some with kids off to college, some in the military, some young and some older like myself at age 47 we come to be close nit and have great fun and a bonding relationship with each other and the game. But if you are red in 0.0, well we will handle you with a nice ticket back to any outpost or station you request.

Fortunately for us, we can cross a million miles pretty quickly with our nifty warp drives Towards a better world, at 6 A.U/sec! But seriously, change is something that has to come from both sides. If we put out a sincere effort to demonstrate we can be intelligent, sensitive and thoughtful players, then please try to engage us on that level. On the other hand, and corect me if i'm wrong, why do you care what others think of you from outside the alliance? I mean it could be argued that the resentment towards goons is a reflection of the alliances success. A complement conveyed through jealousy. I used to be in ISS and have had many fights with Goons and friends. My personal stance is that its only a game. Never taken anything from the fights personally, nor do i hold anything against Goonswarm. But I know where you are coming from, when ISS was an important alliance we would get treated as one entity.
