Vladimir Ilych Gradient Electus Matari	Posted - 2007.12.20 09:30:00 - [1] I don't fly them but I was wondering what are the thoughts of pilots who do, either in PvP or PvE. Are they better with cruise due to the higher ROF? x6 cruise and a couple of large bore rails? Any good? Discuss...

I mean, torps now do blaster-class damage at huge ranges (compared), they are borderline overpowered now. And someone calls it a nerf?

Discuss... there has been NO torp nerf... only a huge boost. torps do insane ammounts of dmg now whit very good skills :) ---------------------------------- Seems that there's a new game that seems to be very popular whit whiners these days. Its called EFT Online. dont listen those people.. as they dont have a clue

For PVE, lots of stuff orbits you @ 40-50km, so for PVE torp users, it doesnt really matter whether they do 10000 damage per torp. If you can't hit anything, that number becomes zero. So, for PVE users, the change was a nerf, and rightly so. Lets just call it 'the torp change' in future, then 10 people won't need to post 'OMG!11!! it wasn't a nerf!!11!!' in each thread that mentions it.

My god man you want a Dev to bring you your slippers and a morning paper. It was most definitely a buff of the buffiest buffingdom how can you be unhappy with it.

PvE users still have the option of T2 long range torpedoes.. might be expensive but isk should never be reason for change in game combat mechanism - I'm a nice guy!! But hook me up with some pew pew, because I'm really bored...

Blood Blind	Posted - 2007.12.20 12:34:00 - [12] My torp Raven is fat, slow, ugly, has gimped PG and CPU with Siege II, has a crappy buffer tank, takes ages to lock anything and then has to wait further whilst the torps slowly trundle over, and is fairly crappy against small or fast targets. But when those torps start hitting a BS or painted BC, the target is in a whole world of pain!

Torps do on average 75 dammage per shot more then cruise missiles, but i cant use purely torps couse rats run away from me (Raven is slow as hell) so im combining 3 cruise/3 torps and it became mess

QFT BUFF to PVPers NERF to PVErs It can't get any clearer than that. The fact is that after the patch siege missile launchers and torpedoes have gone down in price while cruise launchers and missiles have slightly gone up in price. Then again, I never used torps that much. Found them to slow and hit too crappy on small targets.
