I wanted to gauge the interest in a Mining timer.
That is, Something you put your Mining amount and the amount of the astroid and it lets you know when the astroid is depleted so you can make more money.
I've been working on one for the last few weeks (had one working but decided to redo it because it was the first (literally) cocoa program i made) and used it to mine for myself.
Just not sure on interest. If there is i might get that .mac sometime next week and upload a "Beta"

Hero! And it's HUD, too, yummy! Is it possible to use dark-style buttons, like in Shiira's HUD interface framework (HMBlkAppKit)? And can you pin it, so it stays on top of EVE even in fullscreen mode? Awesome work, keep it up! :) _________________ I design icons.

It should stay on top of EVE, but not in full screen. If i remember correctly, when in fullscreen you can't have anything in front. as for the different HUD, maybe in the future, this was my first cocoa program so, there is still a lot for me to learn.

I like the idea of this app - I use one on the Windows side however how will the above work ? Not to put a downer on your ideas but I thought that "automating" of actions from outside the game was against the EULA ?

just like the Windows one, you star the miner with F1 then start the Miner within 2 seconds. just have you mouse over the start button when you hit F1-F3 then click down. you will not bring the Eve Miner Time out because it's Hud. EvE Online is always in the foreground :)

EVE Asteroid Timer - 0.1.4
ò NEW - 15 Second Warning ò NEW - Cycle Complete Warning ò NEW - Astroid Empty Warning ò NEW - Sound Options Window (Window -> Sound or "P" Tab -> Sound ò NEW / FIX - When the Astroid is empty you no longer need to click "Stop Timer" it will go to "Start Timer" state.
BETA ALERT - The Auto State change has worked 100% with me, however if you get something erroneous PLEASE let me know.
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TOO:
Mineral Plan - you will be able to set up a mineral plan, say you want 8 mill trite, enter that in and as long as the "Goes to Mineral Plan" Check box is enabled it will add to that goal. (May be a long way out)
ò Known Issue - Must "Quit" Application to quit it, closing the window does not do it. This is Unintended. ò Known Issue - Lost Miner info upgrading to 0.1.X from 0.1.1. This is addressed in the "Read Me First" File included with This Download.

This is great love the addition of more sound, but can I ask for even more control so that the 15 and 30 second timers can be applied only to specific events.
For example I only want the 15 second timer to go off for the Asteroid complete event and I only want the 30 second timer to go off for the Cycyle complete event.
Cheers

Using it as I type this, and I noticed a bug with numeric formatting. Single digit seconds are written as single digits. The last 12 seconds show up as '0:12', '0:11', '0:10', '0:9', '0:8'. This also shows up on the jetcan timer (I just saw '52:8'. I suspect this will be an issue with the asteroid count down timer too.
Prior to running a barge, I would use an Execeor (or however thats spelled) with 2x mining II and 2x some other mining laser. I'm not sure who else uses this application in terms of number of mining turrets, but might want to look at having more be capable.
The UI for setting up lasers on an asteroid takes some getting used to and only really works if all the lasers are the same power.

Correct, It is a bug, and sadly i don't know how to fix it yet. It's been eating me alive it has.

Thats something i would like to add, however, my programing skills are limited, just started playing with cocoa about a month ago, as a hobby. I plan on having it go from 1 to 7 timers. (7 is all you need, Domi miners) as well as have a Drone Timer. Wouldn't be to hard to do that now.
To add more timers, would mean everyone would have to endure X timers, or have different versions. thats because i don't know how to make 1 timer and spawn 6 more. I know there is way, and i've toyed with the idea, but know it would mean a Drastic Change to the GUI. (not necessarily a bad thing)

Hummm, Not sure about that, I have had one Modulated Strip miner with a T2 Crystal and 2 T1 because i broke the others and all my Hualer Alt had were some left over T1's. Though, if you could go into more detail, i would love it! Send me an In Game Mail if you'd like (or e-mail) i'm always trying to make it better. the thing i'm working on now is a mineral Planner. so i can set the amount of minerals i need mined and just watch TV and Mine on my MBP till i get the ≈ Ore mined.
All your Comments are Greatly Appreciated, As this program is only 0.1.5 right now. (0 = PreRelease, still in beta. .1 = Major Build change, .5 = Bug fix / small changes) --// \\--

I'll bookmark the link for when I feel like going 10.5.X from 10.4.11, thanks for this, I've been using "clocks" and other old fashioned things and this would be fun to play with.

Working on that. Might have found a way to make it stay above eve window without the HUD. --// \\--
