Edited by: Mr Horizontal on 27/12/2007 05:06:25 The issue that Shadarle and others have raised here is that yes, you have 112.5% securities locked down, but Night Crow promises 7% (or 14% over 2 months), but since there's no business to dissect, Night Crow cannot guarantee that the business will actually make 7%. So the actual promise is that investors are putting 8b for 0% interest, with 2 hopes:
1) That Night Crow will indeed be true to his word and return 7% 2) That the 9b will be liquidated for a 6.25% return
If I were an investor, I would ask that in order for the business plan to be kept secret (which may or may not be a shocking idea to MD forum dwellers), that the BPO securities can be liquidated if the 14% return promised has not been met within the first 2 months, regardless of whether the business is working and communicating well during the 2 month period.
That would be a sufficient price for secrecy.
EDIT: grammar --- meh. |

Originally by: EBANK Ricdic It's basically the same as what BMBE do when you ie buy a T2 bpo. They hold it, you provide them the materials and they produce for you.
Works the same with EBANK except we can fill the following categories:
* T1 & T2 Production * Research * Copies * ISK In Bank * Shares/Stocks/Bonds (ie use 4,000 FRPB to secure your 3.5b loan)
etc. In regards to T2 bpo's however I generally will recommend BMBE over EBANK as they have a far better production chain designed than we do in that regard. I am not sure if they do copies etc.
Just to clear up, we can provide the above as well, we don't limit ourselves to T2 BPOs. We will build, copy or research any BPO for you. We will happily accept certain shares as collateral, but it is subject to the same conditions as any collateral we accept. ISK In Bank is the only above circumstance that we cannot provide for, for obvious reasons.
Regardless of that, Ric, by acting as 3rd party for things such as these you're shooting both of us in the proverbial feet. All you're doing is allowing someone to setup a loan for vastly lower interest payments (if any at all) than they would get with either of us under normal circumstances.

I do agree with you Ray but I need to find a middle ground. Promoting EBANK is all well and good, but I still do think it's right for us to harness new business and people who do want to run the public ground. I believe this guy is doing it for the publicity not necessarily the lower interest rate.
It's kinda hard for me as I want to fit both roles, as an EBANK loan provider and as someone looking to promote new corporations and the likes. In either scenario someone gets the short straw

I see that someone retracted, and there are others who wanted dibs that were in line. However, I reserved 50M worth of shares (1M per share) is there any possibility I could scoop up a bit more? As I am one of the first few to reserve shares before the share pool ran out?
If so I'd like to reserve 25 more additional shares at 25M making my total 70 shares at 75M thats my max.

Looking at the nice calculations Treelox made on the first page and then the retractions & reorders I get the impression still a few shares are left,
If so I would like to order 50 shares for 50m

After you have calculated the total shares reserved and if there is any shares left, I would like to reserve 200 shares. Thanks!

With people retracting and bidding, I lost track of whether I made it or not into the group buying shares. I hope a final list of who is 'in' will be published soon; if I am 'in' feel free to notify me ingame so I can react quickly and send the isks once everything is ready. -- One day, we will return to the planets... please, CCP? :)

Ok Confirming I have 5 Freighter BPO's to a value of 8.85b (npc value, these are ME2 so could be sold at about 9-9.3b). Once NightCrow updates this thread to tell you to send money you should be right to go ahead.
Repeat : Securities to the tune of over 8 billion isk are now in my possession.

I would like to point one item of interest: based on your posts, the alt you want the isks to be sent is Night Waith. There is another character called Night Wraith which I assume is not yours - but some people may try to send isks to him instead of copy&paste nickname from your posts as I did (the first I saw your nickname I assumed it was a typo, than I rechecked your posts to confirm it was indeed Waith, not Wraith). In future, a character with a nick offering smaller chance of confusion may be better. -- One day, we will return to the planets... please, CCP? :)

That is a bit fishy as well... I would be shocked if no on sends money to Night Wraith instead.

One could say the same about myself running C-R-A share sales etc as well. Telling people to sell funds to Ricdic when the more common known name is Riddic (from that stupid vin diesel movie)
Hard to call it fishy, I always copy/paste these things, much like EBANK Withdrawals, our setup is in place so we can search by direct copy/paste to ensure no accidents sending to similar named people.

Except you're far more well known here and thus less people are likely to confuse your name with Riddic. If you were using another character that was your main and were telling people to send money to your alt (which no one knew) "Ricdic" it would be fishy as well, especially if there was another character named Riddic and Ridic and such out there.
I just hope no one sends money to the wrong place... and then later we find out Night Wraith is also Night Waith. As long as that doesn't happen then it's just another fishy thing. It's just a lot of circumstantial stuff here, nothing conclusive... which is why no one is coming out and telling anyone else not to invest. I'm just personally not investing.

Edited by: Ayami Sakura on 29/12/2007 12:36:30 Well, since the initial investment is covered by the secured assets and I tend to trust Ricdic in these matters I have gone ahead and sent you 400M isk for the shares I reserved.
Hope the bussiness plan pans out. I would love to see a more active market out there and find every IPO a breath of fresh air. Let's just hope CCP does something to implement game mechanics that make secured assets and auditors if not obsolete at least of lesser importance.
EDIT: Clarification - I have sent the isk to the character you specified (Night Waith).

What is the security? It could be a pile of carrier bpo's that dont go for NPC price anymore, so this IPO could be a way to make full money + more off them, insted of market value, which is far below NPC price.
