hi, whilst messing around in quickfit, came up with this idea for a neut domi for solo pvp.what do you think?
high: 2 500w infectious drain, 4 heavy neut blasters t2 mids: web,scram,mwd,heavy cap booster and cap recharger t2 lows: 2 lar t2, kin/therm/expl hard t2, dcu t2, eanm t2.
t2 ogres and hammers.
rigs: 2 acr and a aux nano pump. can run the neuts for about 70 secs then its a case of managing cap with lar and neuts.

i'd say drop the cap recharger for a sensor booster but then i just like to lock things quickly
but then i'd also say drop one of the LAR II's and stick a nice big plate on there instead and it'd free up some cap for the neuts

Edited by: Liang Nuren on 27/12/2007 01:45:33 I rate it a 3. Cap boosters and cap rechargers generally don't mix well. And you're "wasting" two rig slots for PG... =(
Maybe an ECCM?

looks pretty decent, I'd drop the neuts for dual cap injectors though. Yarr |

i had a thought about this today too acually.
Your setup is far from perfect but you got the ground ideas and start of a solid setup. First of change the Cap recharger and the heavy injector for 2x medium injectors. Might sound silly but you wont loose any when it comes to Cap boosted over time, and you can aslo get double the cap in one go if you so please. It also saves you a sh*t load of PG. which is good.
As some already stated, dry and dropp one of the LAR IIs for a plate. though i personally would go with dual LARs, and focusing on tanking rather than neuting my enemy. But that comes down to play-style.
Hopefully you will be able to drop both if not atleast one of the PG rigs, and if so fit aux nano pumps and nanobot accelerators to give alot more tanking.

thanks for the constructive critisism everyone, makes a change from being flamed
have come up with the following re-fit,but would still like some advise about the tank.
highs: 2 500w infectious neut, 4 t2 heavy neut blasters mids : 2 med electro cap boosters, web ,scram, mwd. lows : 1 lar t2, 2 1600mm tung plates, exp/kin/therm t2 hard and a dcu t2.
rigs: 2 aux nano pumps and a nanobot acc.
would it be better to go with 2 plates as opposed to 1 plate and a eanm t2?

Use EFT and you'll know which one is better, 2 Plates or Plate + EANM

I prefer dualreps for dominix. Remember that if you fly solo, agility and speed are very important. And I think you wouldnt engage enemy gangs, which have big alpha strike. Thats why I dont fit plates

You've stolen my setup!
I've been slaughtering HACs, Recons and the odd battleship with this setup (though I'd normally exchange the 2nd Neut for a L Electron/Ion II or L Smartie and the cap recharger for a SB II). Can be used without rigs for a 30-40 mil killer solo PVP ship.
It massacres most Gallente and Amarr ships that are smaller than it. Kills nano-poofs quite nicely, and can tank up to about 4 HACs. My favourite fight has been vs a 13 man frigate gang which lasted about 12 minutes until I had to run (deaggro, jump) due to running out of booster charges.
Vulnerable to Rapiers, and a decent Megathron pilot can normally 1v1 you, but a fine PVP ship.

Edited by: Vyktor Abyss on 27/12/2007 12:16:02 Funnily enough RAT (above posters lot) have been on the receiving end of that ship many times!
Edit: Oh and don't bother with Plates solo unless you're tanking sentries. Just pick your fights better.

Hello People,
This is what I currently use on this ship, its a very tight setup, silly low powergrid on the Dominix:
Linky
Solo, replace the remote repper with another neutron. You then can also upgrade the repairer and the mwd. Designed as a gang ship of a few similar fitted ships, it works surprisingly well solo. --

Personally i would say that unless you're using dual LAR II's don't waste 3 rigs slots on 1 module (the large repper). You're probably far better off using trimarks and a medium repper for use of repping up after a fight if you're going down the ganky route.
I don't fly the dominix or have skills towards medium blasters, but if i did something like this would look tempting...
4x Heavy Neutron blasters II 2x 500W Neut
1x Best named MWD 2x Medium Electrochem Injectors 1x WD II 1x Web
2x LAR II 1x Kinetic / Explosive / Thermal II Hardeners 1x DCU II 1x EANM II
2x Auxiliary Nanobot 1x Nanobot Accelerator

How do you run that for long? Looks like cap is a real problem on your proposed setup. --

have u guys think about use a setup like this? i know its slow as a roid :) but.... 6 large electrons t2 1mwd, 1 warp d, 1 web 1 heavy cap b 1 eccm or sb or another web...... 4 1600 rolled, 2 eanm, 1 dcu. 3 trim rigs...
highs can be changed for neuts too, all your cap would be for that then.. with good skills 161k shield/armor/structure.

Drop cap recharger for ECCM/sensor booster.
Drop ACR rigs for another aux nano pump and a nanobot accel.
Fool around with highslots until it fits with the new setup. |
