Morvyn Destry's Lounge	Posted - 2007.12.30 05:15:00 - [1] Recently HYDRA has decided that it's a worthwhile endeavor to try to take over some empire space in Lonetrek (namely Hakonen, Nalvula, Obe, Otsasai, etc.) and push out anyone who isn't blue. Unfortunately for HYDRA, however, Destry's Lounge doesn't take crap from anybody, so we've been engaging HYDRA over the last few days. Just for the record, we have about 20 pilots, whereas HYDRA has closer to 1,200 -- so, in an attempt to even the odds, we called in a single carrier for backup. HYDRA apparently felt it necessary to move in an entire fleet from P3EN-E to attack us, resulting in a rather entertaining empire-space fleet battle: Battle Screenshot We popped one of their Domi pilots and then docked up (sadly, in hindsight, we could have left the carrier undocked and popped quite a few more of them -- he was quite easily tanking their entire fleet ) The only regret we have is that the station guns actually popped more HYDRA members than we did. -- the guy in his capsule in that screenshot, for example: we didn't fire a single shot at him, that was all the station guns. After only a few short minutes HYDRA's little fleet had turned around and ran back into P3EN-E to avoid getting more fire from the sentry guns. Anyway, nice try HYDRA, better luck against those sentry guns next time -- this isn't 0.0.

Wesley Baird Murder-Death-Kill	Posted - 2007.12.30 06:10:00 - [4] Ummmmm its funny, we've been living in the area for a few weeks, and really haven't felt that Hydra was trying to kick us out of the area...the 50+ caps MM dropped on our small POS did make the area seem less than welcoming...but hey, Im sure it was just the welcome wagon!!! Try to get along...

Even with a 150-200 man blob against our 5-15 ships they still took heavy losses and only ever got a few of us, even when they dropped warp to can exploits around a gate. They have had their asses handed to em by pretty much every alliance that has gone into their space over the last few months and its only the fact that either the guys attacking them were not interested in holding space that they are still in 0.0. Well that and the fact that they are MM/PURE pets.

Any alliance needs help from alliances like MM and PURE to deal with a 5-15 man gang when they already have a membership of 1200 is a pet.

Well by your own logic you guys are mm and razr pets... But regardless...stop nanoing all your ships, in low sec, gate guns may have adverse effects on your tanks. I think u'll find hydra hasn't held space for over a yr, they were only formed late january. as for building its own stations only one was built by the alliance, other was a corps private venture which hydra then needed members isk to buy off them. As for holding their space they havn't EVER had to defend it. in the almost yr they have been there not one alliance has come to vale with the intention to take it, smaller annoyances like terra incognita even needed mm and pure help to keep p3en-e clear. So basically yes they can be classed as pets of pure/mm and should anyone with the ability to take on pure and mm or someone with a good diplo to talk pure and mm out of the fight, then hydra could easily be removed.

I don't understand your post here you have nothing to brag about, you could not even field a single Cap ship of your own, you had to beg one off another corp! This does not show Hydra is weak it shows they have little or no interest in you, if you think they are weak try puting some POS down in their space or at the very least try to muster the courage to form a fleet of your own and head out to their home systems.

Tri pets yeah right i fought hydra in the morning along side tri. Then in the afternoon i was in domain and got owned by tri members who picked off 6 of my corp members in pods and shuttles and yours truely in a 20min old harpy so as for being their pets maybe you would think so if you beat your dog like they beat us. And for meeting you in p3 i will assemble a 10 man fleet with all of our resources and get gate camped by a large fleet.

Your kidding me right? Ive been in that area of space for the last year, and Hydra has taken one pounding after another of Alliances attempting to take their space (not just harass them). Yes Pure and MM have chipped in a number of times to help out Hydra, but I have to hand it to them, I thought they were dead 6-8 months ago, but they keep on ticking (and I have no idea how!). They clearly have picked their name correctly, chop off one head and 2 more grow in its spot. Also - Im not quite sure the point of the post, other than its amusing that Hydra chased you to a starbase to be pounded by Sentry guns - thats either stupidly ballsy, or a n00b manouever, Im not sure which. Hydra seems to like to sacrifice its pilots, so most likely it the former and not the latter. 1 Dominix, even T2 fitted = chump change. Now if you had popped a Hydra carrier, that Might be worth a post.
