I just wanted to get a little clarification on Fury Bank, and how I can deposit to it.
In the in-game chat channel, there's a decent breakdown of the types of accounts, characters to contact for deposit and withdrawal, and availability of accounts. That's great and all, but I have to say that I enjoy the interface the EBANK currently offers (out of game browser management, etc). I've been looking for a short while now and can't seem to find an easy way to independently look up info on Fury Bank.
So, at the risk of being hardcore flamed for missing a post somewhere:
- Should I just send ISK to one of the characters listed in the channel to set up an account?
- What method is used if I am looking to check my balance?
- Is there a site where I can manage my account, or do I need to contact one of the characters listed in the channel directly for my banking needs?
- If so, should I use EVEmail or conversations?
Sorry for asking questions that have probably already been asked; my search queries haven't helped me out all that much - if there is a thread that deals with these, feel free to just link it.

Furybank doesn't have all the bells and whistles of E-Bank. On the flip side, it pays 2.5 times as much.

Rest assured, this is what sparked my interest in it. Any insights?

^^ Spot on. Much higher interest rate with a bit less functionality. That's why two banks such as ours can co-exist. Whilst we both offer the same thing we are able to provide two very different services.

Yes, I can see that...that said, I feel like I need a bit more comfort before I throw my money at Fury. How do I check my balance? Do I just need to have a compound interest calculator and mad notepad skills?

Well dang. I wonder if a Fury Bank representative would hop on and comment - or at least someone who regularly uses the bank.
Thanks for the input thus far, though.

At the moment, the only type of account on offer is Current Accounts (Higher Interest Accounts are temporarily closed to new investors).
Current Accounts pay 1.4% each week.
All deposits should be sent to the character Fury Banker (a member of Fury Bank Corp).
Current Accounts work using the in-game share system. You receive 1 share for each 1 million deposited, then your interest is paid via dividend once per week. Interest is due 1 minute after 23:59 Thursday each week (usually I pay it earlier in the day or on Wednesdays).
Deposits made after DT on a Saturday don't receive their shares until after the next interest payment is made (though in practice I'm lazy and tend to send them staright out for small deposits).
Checking balance is easy: look in your wallet, see how many Fury Bank Corp shares you have and multiply it by 1 million.
All questions should be mailed to Fury Banker - or if you see any of the characters listed in topic online in channel "Fury Bank" you can ask in channel or PM one. Withdrawals are done by you returning yoru shares then the ISK being sent. Do NOT send the shares without first being told to - as there's currently no way for me to check who sent shares (nice one CCP) so I have to make sure that two people aren't due to return the same number of shares at the same time.
There's currently no website.

So to confirm - I deposit an amount, and instead of the bank account generating interest and placing that interest back into the account a la EBANK, it is placed into my wallet. In order to increase the principle amount, or my Fury Bank account balance, I'll manually re-deposit the interest generated by the shares I've bought?
Sounds straightforward enough - thank you for a prompt and thorough response!

I deposited the max amount of money into HIA's a few months ago and haven't touched it since. I don't even remember 100% who I sent the money to. I think Fury Banker.
It's easy enough to determine how much is in your account though in excel. Here is the formula for three cells
A1: Date of deposit A2: Money Deposited on A1 A3: =1.0025^(TODAY()-A1-1)*A2
That's basically what I have. I adjusted it to make it simpler, mine is part of a lot of other calcs.

I use Fury Bank and at the moment HIA's are not available for new customers. So I'll only describe the CA accounts.
The work on a shares and dividend system. You send ISK to Fury Banker (always, even if you're talking to a teller you send it to Fury Banker) and immediately send an eve-mail explaining that it's for a CA account. When the guy that runs Fury Bank logs in he'll send you an appropriate number of shares. They pay a weekly dividend equal to the interest you would have earned on the account. So it only compounds if you send it back to them in exchange for more shares. To cash out just send your shares back to Fury Banker and again eve-mail, it could take up to a day in my experience.
Eventually HIA's will be open to the public again but there isn't an ETA on that so Ebank may have higher interest options before then. ___________________________________________ 5% Mining Implants & 5% Manufacturing Implants *From 110M to 150M |

I do have a question and I'm a bit lazy, or I'm sure I could find it myself in the other thread.
I have maxed out the HIA account... can I still deposit anything into regular accounts?
Also, how are alts handled?

You can have a current account as well as a HIA, yes.
There's not a whole lot I can do about alts: though obviously if I found out someone had used alts I'd be entitled to withhold interest on the alt's account. So far I've only found one person who deposited the maximum with 2 characters (two 3 billion current accounts). I let that one go - as it really didn't cause any inconvenience. The stated maximums can be exceeded anyway by prior arrangement - provided some limitations on withdrawals are agreed to (no more than the official maximum withdrawn in a single week essentially).
The purpose of the limits is just to reduce exposure to a single individual emptying their account. The total balance on deposit is now at the stage where, when I next reopen HIAs, I'll look at raising the official maximum anyway. HIAs are less sensitive to withdrawals than current accounts - as a week's notice is required: giving me plenty of time to liquidate assets/accept new deposits if I ever lack the cash on hand. HIA limit also needs to be raised in line with existing accounts - depositors who maxed an account at 6 billion when Fury Bank started now have a balance slightly over 7.4 billion. If I'm happy with allowing those customers to withdraw 7.4 billion in one hit, then there's no reason why others shouldn't be given the same facility.
Frankly, the biggest problem I have in expanding is finding investment opportunities which are (fairly) secure and offer a return that makes it worthwhile. The interest rate I offer prices me out of investing in the vast majority of IPOs launched on these forums - so I'm left to expanding my own activities. I'm pretty sure I've identified my next area of expansion - which will let me acept another 100 billion or so of deposits: but that won't happen for another month or two, and may happen in stages.
A smaller HIA expansion of maybe 20 billion to expand existing business areas is probabbly on the cards within the next fortnight.

That was me.... It won't be an issue for ~45 days but I will have some substantial cash and I would be happy to agree to a 1 week waiting period for withdrawals if you don't mind raising the cap a little.

Excellent, if I could get in on that the CA wouldn't be an issue.

This isn't totally true. Do NOT send shares back until you're specifically told to. The problem which could arise is as follows:
Person A sends back 300 shares Person B sends back 300 shares Person C sends 300 shares to one of his own alts
Person A, B AND C all mail me saying they've sent back 300 shares. There's currently no way I can tell who's telling the truth.
Hence the procedure is:
1. Mail Fury Banker or contact one of my alts. 2. Fury Banker tells you to return the shares to him (or, on rare occasions, to a different alt - if someone else is already cashing out an amount which could cause confusion). 3. You send shares 4. I send ISK
Or wait till you see one of my alts in channel "Fury Bank" and convo me - and I'll log in Fury Banker (unless I'm PvPing) and the whole thing will be sorted in a matter of minutes.

For current accounts I've no problem raising the limit substantially - provided you accept a withdrawal limit of 3 billion per week (payable immediately). Larger immediate withdrawals could still usually be made - however you'd have no entitlement to them if doing so would inconvenience me.
There's no bookings allowed for the next batch of HIAs. Existing CA holders who want to change their balance over will, however, get first priority (unfortunately that doesn't hugely increase my available ISK but it seems the fairest way to do it - and if they snaffle all the batch then I can always release a bit more to get to the ISK level I want).

I should have thrown 3 bil into a current account months ago, not sure why I assumed you couldn't have both. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do so tonight.

Finally a Fury Bank thread
Interesting setup, the only drawback I can see to this is that a 100M minimum is required to even obtain a CA. 1.4% per week is about a 5.6% yielding per month.
EBANK is great, got a website, easy to manage lower interests however I'd use Fury Bank for longer term savings if I ever had 100M that wasn't being used.

Because everything's done manually I have to impose minimum deposit limitations. The bank's run as a means to obtain extra cheap (compared to issuing new shares) capital for Fury Holdings - not (with the prime intention) to be a public service.
