Edited by: Raediearn on 31/12/2007 05:46:49 So is there a consensus on which is the better ship for the role of heavy interdictor? I don't mean against each other but which ship is the more effective one. Seems the Devoter has a better tank but the Phobos has more damage but is any of the differences significant? If I was training from scratch which ship would you recommend?

A heavy dictors primary role is to use it's disruption field and tank, the dps for any of them is very meh. So the better the tank, the better the ship in this class.

Phobos - Dps and fair tank Devoter - Heavier tank fir dps these two wont tank as well as the broadsword and onyx though Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content. And it was ten times too big :p If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes

You are saying the onyx and broadsword's shield tanking is superior to the armor tanking? I wouldn't have thought that but I didn't do any calculations cause I hate math.

with my skills
2x med nos 3x autocannons + wap field gen 4x LAR II 2x Invul II 4x SPR II 2x sheild purger rigs
can tank 1100 + dps you need the nos so your hardeners wont turn off when your being neuted >.<
my tactic to kill super caps would be, get 2 or 3 of these beasts, then every time one of them is getting too close to 30% shields, stop the scram and repair with a carrier, and start scrabling with another Hactor. that is it i managed to find a super cap 1st any hoo....
also swap a LAR + Invul for mwd and sensor booster for non super cap killing :)

ooh ill actually try this... most i got was broadsword fully passive and it tanked 895 dps with t1 rigs... will look into this, personally im a blaster and armor tank kind of guy, i would like the phobos for my personal likings Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content. And it was ten times too big :p If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes
