Edited by: X3S on 01/01/2008 09:50:23 Today marks 110. I hope we can work together to set more of the slaves free. if we work together we can transport the slaves of amarr to minamatar space where we can set them free. one person alone can not do this, it requires many people. Help those that can't help themselves.. please..

That sounds like a great idea. What if, say once a week, people were to go pick up a group of slaves and take them back home. Not just freed slaves, but legally purchase slaves and then just return them home. While unfortunate that someone is getting paid, I believe that it would make quite an impact on the available slaves. This might cause people to look for an alternative to slaves. Even if just by the smallest bit.
None the less freed slaves, are a wonderful thing.

While it is disagreeable that a slave trader would get paid in any such transaction, it is truly preferable that slaves are bought and freed legally rather than spilling more blood. Let this new year and new decade be one of more peaceful acts than unnecessarily brutal ones.

Please, legally buy slaves and release them in the wild.
This will create a larger demand for slaves, that I may profit by trucking them in my Bestower (fitted with t2 cargo expanders, so I can pack more in! PROFIT!) to a station near you. I've got no problem with pricing slaves at 5x their normal cost. Please see 9uy-h (Deliverance Reclaimed (and yes, they DID get the blood stains from the freedom fighters out.))
By the way, I find it .. amusing.. that slaves are on the market in the oh so corruptible Minmatar Republic. Check Rens.... quite a few on sale there.
Odd how that occurs on a Republic station. You'd think the OH SO CARING Ushra'Khan might pay for their freedom..

Mr. Marek:
You know, every time one of the Ushra'Khan says some ridiculous thing that makes me want to throttle the lot of them (and/or feed them a rack or thirty of bloodclaws; irony is a dish best served via warhead), one of you lot can be counted on to say something just as silly and inflammatory.
Not to mention smug.
No mention of faith, no mention of God, no mention of loyalty, tradition, or principle-- just sneering arrogance and a display of utter, callous selfishness. Not only do you undoubtedly make the "terrorists" want to burn you down, you make me want to join in-- and I'm not even on their side. Point of fact, I'm not on anybody's.
Pilot, if you want to continue making your ISK in this particular way, do yourself and everyone on your side a favor and stay quiet about it.
Case of "people who make their own causes hard to support" number ... meh, I've lost count.

Edit: Upon further consideration, if this was a gambit to try to keep people from buying slaves out of Amarr space and transporting them to freedom, you may win an award for bold self-sacrifice or a knock on the head for poor placement. Such taunts might work on the Matari and discourage them from buying their people back, but they also outrage neutrals.
Yours truly, for instance.
What you have portrayed yourself as is exactly what they want us to think you are. As such, hopefully your house will either discipline you for irreligious, shameful practices or for ham-fisted diplomacy.
Aria the feeling is mutual Remember this though , if fools such as rev were not to exist then maybe we wouldnt feel obliged to throttle each other

I salute and support your efforts. I call upon every free thinking Amarr to release their slaves. I call upon every Matari operating within the Empire to prepare and support this mass exodus. The Gates of Freedom are opening.
And to our brothers and sisters enslaved (or should I call it imprisoned?) in the Amarr Empire, I offer these words -
Rise and resist! Look to the skies above and the hangars below and Follow the Drinking Gourd to freedom. We are coming to bring you home!

I freed a slave once. After one night she came back, scratching at the door and begging for food. She was cold and hungry and her fur was wet and matted. I let her back in the house. At least she's semi house trained, I hardly ever have to beat her.

I can't believe you heretics are actually willing to spend your own money to spread your blashphemy to the matari under-people the honourable Amarrians are trying to help so they too may fall under God's Grace. Why won't you at least keep your biggoted heathenry to yourself and let those people be saved from eternal punishment, even if you wish it for yourself so hard? Why will you not let the poor matari under-people be liberated from their heretical ways? Why do you seek to condemn every human being to eternal suffering instead of letting them reach Salvation? What have those poor souls done to you hateful heretics so that you must punish them so? Everything is possible for him who believes. Insprinc haptbandun - Inuar vigandun |

We had a long discussion about this before the legislation was altered to allow slaves to be legally marketed in the Republic (one more reason to have Midular thrown into the nearest star for allowing it), and it was mutually agreed by all true Matari that buying slaves and releasing them would not only be detrimental to the message we are sending out to slavers, but would also actually support their business and in fact bolster their reasons to continue the inhumane trade. As Marek so kindly illustrated.
I have an alternative suggestion. One which is also more fun. Fly into Amarr or Ammatar space, and hunt their trade convoys travelling from station to station. I think that you will find an ample supply of slaves ready to be freed onboard. I alone have freed thousands of slaves this way - combined freedom fighter efforts have freed hundreds of thousands and more.
And in the process you get to blow up the smug bastards who think they can own other people.

Try getting out of stations a bit more.
Concord, an elitist "police" force, is only concerned with protection of capsuleer pilots and their assets in highsec. They are NOT concerned with megacorporations and their assets, since most of them have their own security branches to take care of that.
So it is quite possible to target and plunder the cargo convoys ferrying slaves between Amarr and Ammatar stations in their space. I destroyed hundreds of vessels and Concord never interfered. One only has to make sure not to run afoul of the station guns belonging to the corporation owning the ships just turned into space dust.

Confirmed. Numerous Amarrian convoys have fallen to my guns. They are lightly armed; even a standard frigate is sufficient, so long as you wait until the convoy is away from the station's guns. The owning corp tends to react badly to this, but CONCORD ignores it.

I have just bought about 1000 slaves in Minmatar Space, strangely enough a lot of sellers were supposedly "reputable missioneers" for the Republic Fleet, according to the logs of my market agent.
Ah well, I guess its not for me to judge how things work in the governmental farce called the Minmatar Republic.
They are on their way back home, to where they belong.
