Greetings denizens of EvE.
My name is Kyrial Tidolfas. I have been playing EvE for a while, 2 months to be exact. Very recently I have been doing some trading to make money and what I realise is that there is a great opportunity for profit to be had by trading. However, what one needs is a lot of research and a lot of money. While I will be providing the first, I need you to provide the second.
How much do i return?
4.75% per week
Terms of Investment
I am looking to raise money from the public to fund my trading business. I will issue no bond or shares. What i am looking to provide is a liquid, bank-like investment style where you will get relatively easy access to your money at anytime.
Here is how it will work. When you make an investment, I put down the amount and the date of your investment. After that, whenever you want to make a withdrawal, you will have to tell me which of the investment from which date you want to withdraw and how much. Let us say you put in 20M on the 1st of January and 2 weeks later, you want to withdraw 10M, I will just return to you 10*4.75^2 and substract your entry by 10M on the 1st of January. A week starts on Monday, any investment made after Monday will be counted as to be made on the next Monday. This will help me with bookkeeping.
Why 4.75%? Why not a whole number 5%?
Well, thats because I intend to provide a bonus as an incentive to the investors. If you made an investment within 6 hours of this thread, I will consider you a foundation member and will provide you with 5% interest rate on any investment you make. That means if you put in 10M now and put in 100M later. you get 5% return on both. Also, when I expand my activity in the future and provide you with more investment opportunity, I will be sure to reward those who supported me in my very early day. (or 1/4 of a day)
Isn't that just Ginsu style marketing??
Yes it is.
How do you know I am not a scam?
You do not. It is up to you to evaluate the risks. I provide no securities. I do not think there is anyone of great public trust who would vounch for me. You are welcome to do research on me. Which you should anyway. Also, I am sure some of my corp mates will have something good to say about me.
So let me tell you a bit more about myself and what I want from this venture. I hope that this is a chance for me to prove myself to the public, to build trust and to profit. I know that the first step is the most important and the most difficult one. But i do have faith that there will be enough of you who would trust me and who would dare take these steps with me.
I do not ask for much. If you do not trust me yet, invest 10M. I know 10M is nothing for the hundreds of you who visit this forum. In time I am sure you will have more faith in me and we can take it from there.
How certain am I to achieve upto 5% per week? What are the risks?
In trading, I do not think there is much risk of losing money. Items do not get damaged randomly and only a small subsets of items have big price fluctuation without the involvement of a patch. The only risk is not maximising profit. 5% per week is not much to cover. I belive i can easily return 5% per week to an investment of 1B.
Does that mean I will only take upto 1B in investment.
Yes. For now at least. I doubt I will be able to reach that much anyway, but I do want this first stage to be about building public trust more than profitting.
Do i need a minimum?
No. I am trading as we speak in Oursulaert.
Not Jita?
No. Jita is very hardcore. I do not think I will make enough for the trouble with the capital i have at hand.
Will I move to Jita eventually?
Yes. When the timing is right.
How easy can i access my money.
If you want your money and I am online, contact me and I will be providing the isk immediately if possible. If not, I endeavor to do it within 24 hours.
I will take your questions now.

2 months is a while? If you say so
That said, so many people here have so much excess money they are willing to throw around I think you'll have no problem getting the 1B.

Time is relative. I do understand that most of you might consider me an inexperienced noob. I have to disagree. I believe strongly in my ability and I want to prove that to all of you.

Edited by: Vandagrif on 04/01/2008 06:00:14 Quick question, how did you get into your corporation with its requirements? It says it has a 8 million SP min and is in 0.0. Explenations I can think of include they are no longer doing said requirements, you know someone, or you are an alt.

I believe the running of my corp is out of my authority to discuss. I hope you understand that it might not be appreciated. I am sure you can contact the CEO or one of the many directors regarding my recruitment.
thank you for your interest.

The totally stupid high return rate, packed into a week format rather than month, makes me think its a scam.
Unless you will allow someone to audit your API key, i wouldnt get my hopes high.

Your reading comprehension may in fact be fine, but unfortunately your ability to use deductive reasoning is lacking.
The poster above you meant to imply, by quoting those statements, that he is not an alt, and is a new player to eve (2 months, in fact! But you already know this, because you are the master of reading, comprehension, AND reading comprehension!)
Good luck out there! Without people like Vandagrif and myself, I don't know how you get out of bed in the morning.

Edited by: Scipio Divinitus on 04/01/2008 08:50:48 Well to be honest the interest sounds a bit too high to be real, but you post often and are at least in a corp. I can bet 10 mil on you Kyrial, hope this is a good start. May invest more when I research into you a bit.
***EDIT*** Lol no of course not. Just saying the ones I see usually range from 6.5%-10% a month. But yet again a number of those were scams too.

Yes, but for example in my case it took 2 week's in Rens to turn 50m into 150m. I then made a tradeing alt, transfered the ISK to Jita and turned that 150m into 950m in 15 days.

But how much did you spend every day in Jita, compared to Rens, just updating orders? In my experience, it takes lots more work. So i only trade in Jita during weekends and when its holiday.
Also, i got the limited key from Kyrial. There was no amount of isk or skills to speak of on the character. And there was no alts to speak of either, other than the one that posted here.

Interested to hear what the skill training progression was. If there was none or it was not a normal progression for for a main that rather sounds like his "main" is an alt.

His skills were nothing to speak of. No implants as far as i remember, and it certainly didnt seem like someone who had played eve before.

In order for people to feel more secure about giving you money you should talk to Hexxx or one of the the other people at E-Bank for the audit. In addition some form of security / collateral (even if it is minor, could be a ship or anything like that) would go a long way and probably be a part of this process.
FYI for other: I have talked to a corp mate of yours who confirmed for me that you are a main and that you were recruited into the corp (Vandagrif). You also he has a history of posting on the forums since he first started.

1.7% a week isn't much of an incentive. I personally offer 5% per 24hr period. I must say though, it is nice to actually see someone OUT of jita doing the trading game. Maybe a lil advice since you are still starting out,, You are real close to sinq laison so you can watch both those markets and your profits should rise that much more.

What's so stupidly high about it?
I paid 0.25% per day (1.76% per week) on my HIAs. Yeah - I closed taking new ones once I hit 100 billion of them, but I've yet to hear any investors complain that they were stupidly high or a scam.
If I had a criticism it'd be that the returns were stupidly LOW for a new investment - not high. And, in fairness, that criticism wouldn't be fair compared to many other new investments around.
If I can turn over a 15-20% profit per month on 170 billion capital then I'd assume a much smaller amount of capital could generate more. Don't confuse your own inability to make a half-decent profit on a mediocre sum with a more general lack of ability to do so. If the OP was offering a bit more return I'd be tempted to invest: at least they possess some basic literacy skills and dont type like an AOL reject. And who jnows - maybe at some stage in their IPO they'll produce a half-decent balance sheet or profit/loss accounts - something yo usingularly failed to do (before you liquidated and chose to not refund some shares - keeping the withheld ISK for yourself rather than distributing it to shareholders).
You're marginally short of a scammer - you didn't honour "guaranteed" dividend levels then liuidated withour ever accounting for asssets to your shareholders (you were buying back shars before knowing what your locked-down BPOs sold for - and that's totally ignoring how BPOs locked down with a third party ever got back into your possession to liquidate in the first place). Were I in your shoes I'd be keeping a low profile: luckily (or otherwise) you have no such scruples - but it would be a grave mistake for anyone new to the forums to take your posts seriously.
To the OP: go for it. Your offering pays pretty well compared to what else is around: whether you're legit or a scam you'll most likely sell out fairly quickly. If you're legit then protest at my comments but take the ISK when people invest. If you're a scam then protest even louder - and still take them. Whichever you are, don't offer collateral - it defeats the entire object of the market. People should be gambling on whether you're trustworthy. In my case the "win" if you're trustworthy is just signifcantly too low - but for many it's the best thing on offer at the moment.
And ignore comments by La Vista and UFL: both can program OK (ish) but have no other abilities. Riethe's a scammer - but at least has a clue, so if he posts give it some consideration but assume his motivation in posting to be to somehow screw you over. I'd give you a run down on the other regulars here but antagonising a few will have to do for now :)
