The new volume inflation to t1 items is a necessary nerf to prevent compression transport of minerals. I do however think it limits the ability of players to loot missions and exploration sites. What i propose is: keeping the current inflation as is but making duplicate t1 items that do not have bpos and have the original volume. Then replacing the current inflated t1 itms with these new items in the loot tables. This would solve both problems equally well and would not in any way harm industry or the transport business.

This does not make much sense.
The best thing would be to replace any T1 in loot tables by meta level 1 items and push a bit the loot tables upwards. This way : 1-we do not care the T1 item size 2-we get better loot 3-if the tables are pushed up a bit, the loss in form of minerals from T1 loot is compensated by more higher meta level loot.
This wouldn't hurt for some items, look at the price of the medium sized named lasers... -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

This would be fair compromise as I make all my ISK's from missioning and looting and salvaging at the moment. When 1 gun takes up 100M3 while meta level 2, 3, 4 take up a fraction of that somethings wrong and the supposed "fix" is hurting players that don't exploit CCP's game dynamics.

I agree, they really need to stop the rats droping T1 items. I think replacing them with the lowest named counterpart is the best idea most of the low end named items are not really that good tbh.
This would probably cause a drop in T1 items avaliable on the market in 0.0 but tbh there T1 it aint hard to make them.

The low named items have less minerals when reprocessed than T1 loot, so yes, you will have less minerals at the end, that's why I proposed that you get more often higher meta level items so your isk income will not be nerfed.
I am not saying no more looting.
Also, two versions of a T1 item, one with low volume, other with high volume would make two market items and would lower the price of the low volume ones compared to the high ones, so, this can't be if you want an active T1 market controlled by player manufacturers. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

i personally support the idea of stopping t1 items from dropping in loot. maybe the mineral value of these could be increased slightly to appease some parts of the population...

No, it's not. Reprocessing mechanics could be changed so that you can't get more mineral volume than module volume. This could of course mean a lot more wastage. But it's both more realistic and exploit-proof. Personally I would like it. However, it would probably be even less popular, so we get the no-concept variant.

I thought the devs stated in the last dev audio blog that non named tech1 loot is going to be removed and the bounties ajusted accordingly.

I'm still at a loss for why CCP didn't just change the reprocessing yield to begin with. Especially after an industrialist friend of mine described the amount of minerals (via ore compression) the Rorqual can pack into a typical mid-level industrial.
