Hi guys not to request the systems that you use but I need a bit of help on how to use shares of a corp as 'notes' for loans, bonds, and stocks. I quick dirty break down on how to use the game shares to represent this would be helpful thanks mates. If you have any advice and real world material or in game material to check out that would also be helpful. Also anyone that does teaching of development of this type of meta game please post and if you charge please post your prices and what services you teach others how to develop. Thanks again.

Now now be nice. Although I swear some of the people that come in here are incapable of researching before asking questions. ~Mel

I had already read some of that information and to be frank it is outdated and is geared to the physical trade person not th investor and financial development.

To be fair:
EvE forums search tool is beyond useless. Not everyone knows about evesearch. Stickies are rarely updated. EvE wiki never really caught on.
Shares work as tickets you can issue to players. It gives the holders a stake in corporation votes and makes issuing of dividends simpler. That said the share system is so simplistic and underdeveloped that the community has taken these basic blocks and built them into a workable system, so there is no official documentation available. The quick and dirty is that if you hold an IPO people send you isk and you give them shares. Then if you are a legitimate business you issue dividends to share holders at appointed times. If there are more shares in the hands of other players than you the other players can hold votes to force actions within the corporation. These are the basic functions of shares, everything beyond that is player created.
The best way to learn the ins and outs of shares and the ways in which they are used hang around this forum for a month or two just reading the posts. This will give you a good idea of both how IPOs, Bonds, Loans, and CoOps work as well as who the major players are (vital information). Don't be afraid to post questions or message players looking for help most people are glad to lend advice.
That said any advice you have to buy is bad advice. But if you send me 100m isk I will tell you all the secrets of EvE.

If you're just issuing them as bonds, make sure that you hold at least 50% of them so you can pass votes to issue more if necessary, and be extremely careful not to send any to the wrong character. I've seen IPOs restarted becaused of that. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |
