if i had 20 billion isk i would actually help nooblets like myself with skill books and implants as it is hard to get into the game or any game without some sort of help. past that i dont know what i would do as i just started and dont think i am deserving of the isk. some ppl have said donate it to Eve University. that might be the thing to do as they are the biggest help some pilots can get.

I think that the 20 billion would be well spent rewarding those that have gone above and beyond in order to enrich the experience for others. As others here have mentioned EVE University is a worthy and deserving cause. Also, in my humble opinion, the following Corporations or individuals have developed services or programs that greatly enhance the EVE experience: Grismar for the eve wiki: http://eve.grismar.net/wikka.php?wakka=WikiHomeGripen for the continued support of EFT: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=24359Estel Arador Corp Services for the generous jump clone service that they provide: http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=939710Mr M for the EVE Tribune and EVEGeek: http://evegeek.com/ and http://www.eve-tribune.com/If you, The Mattius, chose to endow me with the ISK, the previous listed individuals and corporations would benefit by a 5 billion ISK donation each. Of course, you could cut out the middle man and reward them yourself! It should be noted that I have no affiliation with any on the list other than considering Mr M a friend. I would like to mention here Laci and Mermalior , who created the "Manual" for EVE. www.isktheguide.com

The Mattius wrote:Simply, i would like to hear how it would change the way you play Eve (hopefully for the better). Ideas like i would buy expensive ships and fly them through 0.0 are unlikely to get you far, i'm looking for orginal ideas on how you would use this ISK. Thats it, no other conditions and this offer is open to anyone, one day old characters to beta (and probably bitter) vets
It's a big chunk of Isk, and I'd use it like so: To help my friend start up her eve service.
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=785898 <--- This is where you can read a tiny bit about it. She's actually been spending a lot of her time brainstorming, commissioning a guy to actually code on-the-fly calculation software that works with API keys, and gathering some initial funds for it and taking on a few loans since there's quite a bunch of mission runners throughout eve (not to mention people who just have hangars full of "Stuff" they want to remove from their assets tab) who really WOULD appreciate being able to sell their loot at Jita prices from any location. Having 20b extra liquid would allow the servicing of a higher multiple of customers at once right from the start. It would also help pay for any additional freighters and T2 haulers that may be needed.
So in short: Can I use your 20b to help jump-start a cool service that would remove a lot of jumping, time consumption, and headache from a vast majority of EVE players' lives? (Thereby changing the way MANY can play eve instead of just one person with an easy to use service).
This would also have the intentional side effect of making a Lady (a very special one at that) INCREDIBLY happy. Which would definitely affect the way I play eve in quite a positive way =)

I'm selfish, so forget all this stuff about helping noobs and running a space charity.
I'd use the 20 billion for a number of things, and I'd have a ton of fun, way more fun than a bunch of noobs getting free noob ships.
I would:
Build two or three solid mission running Machariels so that ISK is never a problem. Plug in the +5 learning implants. Get the top notch gunnery implants. Enjoy quickly running missions etc. Play some profitable shenanigans on the market. Do some Tornado ganking for laughs and tears. Contract some mercenaries for a scam I have planned. Enjoy the hell out of Eve until I have 100 billion ISK to give away on the forum, probably with a community Youtube contest.

Just to confirm a few points.
I am reading each and every idea. I am certainly not trolling! This is not a scam.
I haved also considered the possibility I would want to return one day, which is why I will not be selling/biomassing this character. To be honest if I did ever come back (unlikely) I would prefer to start over anyway.

Please log on one last time, buy a lot of bpo from ccp, destroy them and create by this your own little isk sink. Maybe that would be a little fun as you surely have not done this before in your long career. |

Allthough i'd advice just keeping it as you prob will come back one day or the other . |

I would have to say the first thing I'd do would grab a plex to put off the next eve sub payment. After that I would use the money to invest in the corp enough to get us on the road to profitability and the initial funding of the programs we want to implement for our members. I'd encourage them to come up with interesting ideas to make more isk and be able to help fund the idea as a mini in-corp ipo.
My division in the corp deals mostly with industry and trade so any new recruits would have a small safety net which may help them to be willing to take on a bit more risk when dabbling into trade. Rather than being extra timid about losing isk and missing out on good deals I could encourage them to be a bit more bold to make that cash.
Also, a jump freighter would expand my own market considerably. :) Should you decide to return I'd be happy to supply the plex as a welcome back present. |

I would use it to fund stacks of T1 ships that I would hand out to people new to FW and take them on roams, give them the chance to experience it for what it should be rather than them not getting any PvP action because of risk aversion or a fear they might be spy alts.
I'd probably look to have people I trusted in the other militias do the same with some of the ISK, the more of us flying around in fun (not silly blob size) gangs the better. |

My friend got 60 billion of an ex-corp member (one of his best friends in game). They had a lot of good times and they were always flying together. But the guy just grew tired of Eve. My friend however absolutely still loves eve. And as a last act this guy decided to make life of someone close to him better.
So to be short, go over the people you liked flying with, the ones that made you stay for 8 years. See if some of them still have fun and try to make their eve-life better by rewarding them for the fun they gave you.
If you can't find em? Well, I can be your friend, although my obnoxious and socially unadapted behavior would have made you go away long before 8 years played, I am very loyal. |

Mail sent m8.
Also i hope you have enjoyed your 8 years playing eve and i hope that you enjoy what ever you are going to do once you leave game. If you are giving your money away i would be very apreciative of it (read mail).
If you are leaving most people would not come and give there money away. They would keep it to ther dying chars.
This is a really nice thing to do

With 20 billion isk i would blow all of the current isk i have on enough Quafe Ultra to bathe in, probably aound 300millions worth, and instead of spinning ships like i do on a regular basis cause it takes me that damn long to make any where near a sensible wage, cause of constantly being camped into station, i'd probably blow it all on a fleets worth of ships, then suicide a small roam into higher odds on a drink fueld FC storm rage.
Maybe actually enjoy the game rather than grinding constantly, would be nice XD |

I would suggest that instead of giving it all away in one BIG spending spree - How about making a gift that lasts instead? A gift that keeps giving every month.
BIG Trust Fund is a service for doing just that.
For almost three years now BTF has monthly paid a number of individuals/corps a sum that easily covers a PLEX (or 3) and some fun on the side for each (total payout getting close to 200B ISK).
So consider finding a good solid T2 BPO (or several) matching the funds you have available, designate one or more recipients you'd like to receive a monthly payout, and BTF will take care of the rest.
Over time that gift will be worth far far more than a one time give away.

After 8 years you have no friends or people you like? WTF did you do for 8 years?
Give it to your friends but better yet you should just keep it because You Will Be Back.
Otherwise ya give it to me I will add it to the rest of mine and think about you a couple times a year when I buy something big. |

2 options:
1. I would buy and train all 4 racial Titan skills
or
2. Buy capital component/ship BPOs and donate them to my alliance
In both cases, the isk is "sunk". If you decide to give the isk to me, you choose which option. |

Admittedly, I have been a care-bear for the duration of my EVE life. I would start and maintain a low sec, 0.0 pirate corporation with the 20 Billion. That sum would make me fearless.
It would dramatically encourage a massive shift in the way that I (and those that join my corp) approach game play in EVE.
Thanks for the chance, TM! I think just the opportunity has begun a shift in my brain... |
