If I got your ISK, I would make a character named Mattius the Magnificent.
That character would have his Bio describing your life and sudden, mysterious departure in RPG-style, and a permanent link to this thread. I wouldn't spend your ISK on pimped PVP-mobile, as that's easiest thing a person can do. Instead, I would invest it in the char like I do with my other characters: with a purpose and goals, for implants, skillbooks and ships, spreading your legacy and continuing your story long after you are gone from the game.
Also, if you ever return to our beloved Universe at any time, I promise to give you that character to do with him how you please (if you ever decide you want him). If you perhaps don't ever return, and I decide to leave as well, I will make a token auction of the char, or give him to the person I know will use him, so his story can continue. |

I would use the ISK to fund a new corporation that will declare war on all miners. Why? Because asteroids have souls too. The despicable miners slowly suck out there soul and deposit it in there cargohold, and they don't stop there. They then, without a hint of remorse, "refine" what's left of their soul into some new, different, abomination. The asteroids consciousness is then split into thousands of different "minerals", which drives the already tortured soul into insanity and madness. These minerals are then sold to the highest bidder, and are used to form some giant flying demon. The consciousness is forever split into several different flying monsters, or, if they're lucky, will all form the same flying creature from the lands of hell. They have the rest of eternity to become accustomed to their madness. They are accompanied by the millions of other shards of another asteroid's soul, screaming "WHY?", again and again. They do this until they become so mad they are can't form coherent speech, and then, they simply drift... forever. A fate worse than death.
Where is the justice in this? We, as players, must take action. If we do not, we are as bad as the monsters that commit these atrocious crimes. |

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.
Many years ago, a great Amarrian, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation.This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Minmatar slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every Amarrian was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, Minmatar men as well as Amarrian men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It is obvious today that Amarr has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, Amarr has given the Minmatar people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."
But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.
We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind Amarr of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.
It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Minmatar's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Minmatar needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in Amarr until the Minmatar is granted his citizenship rights.
But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Minmatar community must not lead us to a distrust of all Amarrian people, for many of our Amarrian brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.
We cannot walk alone.
And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead.

There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Minmatar is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Minmatar's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their self-hood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating: "For Amarrians Only." We cannot be satisfied as long as a Minmatar in Amarr Prime cannot vote and a Minmatar in Khanid Prime believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream."
I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. And some of you have come from areas where your quest -- quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Amarr Prime, go back to Mekhios, go back to Radonis, go back to Syrikos V, go back to Ezzara VI, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern planets, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.
Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.
I will use the funds to help the loyal Minmatar free those from the villainous Amarrians who enslave them. |

I'd like to put in a good word for Red Frog Freight. We're always looking for ways to help new freighter pilots get started and one of the most consistent issues for newer haulers is covering collateral on courier contracts. I'd like to use the ISK to start an in corp, no interest loan system to help new pilots get started. I'd also like to use the ISK to buy a set of freighter/cap part BPOs so that we can offer at-cost freighters to new pilots. Red Frog has a long history of reliability, we're scrupulously neutral in all conflicts, have an internal no combat rule, and every ISK of every contract goes to the pilots; Red Frog makes no money. That means that the directors and other donors fund all corp bills, including offices, incentive rewards, website hosting, alliance fees, alliance creation fees, etc. Even half of the ISK mentioned would be a great way for us to help new pilots. I'm not going to lie about giving all the money to help out new players and im sure as hell not going to waste it blowing it all up. currently have a nice little freighter/Orca shop setup. Acquiring all the BPOs has left me with a little bit of a cash flow situation. I currently need more liquid Isk to get my operation to full capacity.
How would it change how I play: With the cash flow situation resolved I could concentrate on expanding my operations to include JF invention and construction as well as BPO research. I will even go as far to offer out of game mails on a periodic basis detailing how the project is fairing. A more detailed project plan is privately available upon request.

As I am a trader, and like to support charities GÇô this is what I would do: (Which is also my plan for when I will leave)
1. Liquidate all of the asserts, for maximum profit. 2. Buy as many PLEX as possible for the whole amount 3. Donate the PLEX in your name, to next charity held 4. Post API to verify donation
Why ? 20 bil = roughly 40 PLEX 40 PLEX = 800 euro worth of donation That is a lot more worth GÇô than pixels

I'd do less PvE and a lot more PvP on my alt.
I'm having to do PvE on this guy to fund my PvP habit - yes I suck, the fun is in the fight, not the winning.
I only play a couple of hours per day, so usually have to do a week or two of PvE in order to afford to be able to PvP.
I'd much rather PvP all the time.
That disaster relief idea looks more worthy, but I'd have more fun with whatever you happened to send my way o7 |

I stil have good faith that there are people who will put the needs of others over there own. Although in EvE the most backstabbing game maybe ever created it's nearly impossible to find. What I would do with 20bil isk. Can't say I would put into into any kind of charity as I've seen way to many different scams to feel confidante enough that my money is going to be put to good use but to fund my new players in my corporation and help them get into the game. I don't know, I want to have fun really. Typically not at someone elses expense. Though with that said, I would never begrudge anyone for playing the game their way. Whatever the player type in this game, it doesn't bother me, griefers make the game exciting and after all, it's only pretend money. Miners fund the industry and give joy to the griefers, traders give everyone what they want...the loop continues.
I plan to enjoy the game, whatever way I can. I am always up for something new, though after a while playing, I still haven't done exploration as much as I'd like. When I've saved up enough I'll get round to it. I do however feel rather restricted with the game though. I suffer from stage 2 Liver disease and I find that it limits what I can do. One wouldn't think so but it does. I keep to myself really, I'd love to try incursions but from what I hear, they are long. I don't join corps because I don't feel I can get involved enough. The problem is, it leaves you tired, or rather, physically exhausted, so I don't want to annoy people by joining in with something and then leaving because I need a nap :p That and the fact I can't drink (for obvious reasons) makes me feel rather...unsocial.
I have a lot to learn in Eve, but no one to teach me :P...well, I enjoy the help channel. So for me, it's all about trial and error. I feel there's a lot out there in this game, I just need to find it. For now, I'm happy doing my own thing, and watching the stars go by.
Personally I don't think you should give away the money. You feel like you're burned out now, but a couple years down the line, a super duper expansion might come out and you'll return and regret giving the money away (Sorry, didn't read many of the replies so you've probably already done it now). If you still have it, keep it. You earned it after all. |

Alright, posting with my main because this is srs bsnss.
After carebearing it up for a while, our corp has finally found a place in 0.0 through CVA in Providence. In case you don't know, CVA is a "not red don't shoot" alliance which allows neutrals free access to their space, so long as they're not actually part of a hostile corp or alliance. This can be a pain, but its a big breath of fresh air from all the other nullsec alliances who put big walls up around their space and go "NO! MINE MINE MINE!"
Your isk would help us get truly up and running in null. Our alliance is beginning a merger with another which would give us our own shared sov. The space in question is largely undeveloped but with your isk, we could upgrade our infastructure making life easier not just for our own corp, but any non-red who wants to rat / mine / explore in our space. We might even be able to fund building a second outpost, or at least an extra POS or two for our industrialists. Our corp has been funded out of the pockets of the directors for a little while now, and with a nice isk safety net they would have a lot more time to recruit, run PVP / mining ops and generally have fun rather than rat for the corp.
These are all things we will probably manage on our own eventually, if we were going to die without your isk then we wouldn't deserve it, but it would definitely be a massive step up.
I would also buy a shiny hat.
I don't know if I can compete with the charity idea though. |

Good question. I would use it to further my goals of creating my own little mini-empire of T1 frigates (production/research) and everything related to them. The plan is to be able to fully create everything I need for lowbie militia pvp. Likewise, the ISK would go towards buying all the skills necessary--especially in trading: Future Tycoon in the making. Other uses: Getting into a Hulk, Transport Ship, and Freighter, and all the related expenses. I would also use it to further my budding trade empire () and expand it to 3 or 4 regions. All I can think of at the moment.

Well, and friend and myself just recently started playing eve and have been wanting to get into industry, so 20b would go a good way to starting that up... not to mention being able to fund our accounts through Plex. I wont say I'd give some to random newbies or the like but certainly RL friends and corp mates who have been kind enough in helping me become acquainted with eve.
Also, are you dead set on giving all 20b to one person? There is the option of giving lesser amounts to multiple people, or charities as many have mentions. Just one idea would be to give 10b to a person and then 5 mil each to both Eve university and VAERT. but just my 2 cents. |

If you are leaving EVE for good follow steps below:
1) Liquidate all your assets. Keep ISKs only. 2) Buy plexes for that ISKs 3) Login to your E-Bay account 4) Sell all PLEXes for real money ( tell that guys who wants to buy it to create scam contracts which you will accept. This will save them from ban) 5) Buy as much alcohol, marihuana, DMT, LSD or whatever makes you feel good as you can for $$. 6) and / or hooker 7) Get laid. |

If I were to receive the 20b isk, I would use it to buy skillbooks and ships for the newbies in my corp.
We recently joined a 0.0 alliance, and needed new recruits. The alliance as a whole looks for decently skilled and experienced players (~15m sp), but we were unsuccessfuly with finding those who fit the mold. We took in a handful of people who are for the most part new to the game. Guiding them with what skills to train and how to fly ships effectively would be made easier if isk wasnt an issue. We fly strict fleet doctrines which are by no means quick/cheap to train up, and aim at getting all alliance and corp members into capital ships.
Being in the leadership of my corp/alliance gives me great pride, and I seek to aid anyone in any way I possibly can. I ask not how my corp can help my, but how I can help my corp. It really creates strong bonds with the members, and as such, my corp is a tight-knit group. I hope to see our family expand, as thats pretty much how I see my corp in Eve - a family.

I am a struggling Indy Player. My time in EVE has become much more limited since my daughter was born as she takes priority for my time over a game no matter how much I enjoy it. Even after spending 3 months beta testing SWTOR I have chosen to stick with EVE as I truly enjoy playing this game. I plan on playing EVE for many years to come. If you give me the money there will be no risk of me going inactive and your money sitting there on someone else's dormant account.
I have spent time living in Null as part of a sov holding alliance but have recently moved back to high sec due to the time restrictions I now have on my game time.I have engaged in a lot of manufacturing and have a long term goal of working towards building Jump Freighters. I have already acquired most of the BPO's I will need for both T1 freighter and T2 jump freighter components for one race, and have them in the cooker getting them to profitable ME and PE levels. Eventually I want to move into building all Jump Freighters but will start with one for now. However I am still in need of a T1 freighter BPO and some capital for mats to get started.
With my current plan and limited game time I expect it will be another 6 months or so to get things rolling and making a profit. With a gift from you I can achieve this goal so much sooner and avoid some of the frustration in reaching that next step.I plan on eventually getting into moon mining and reactions to supplement my supply of the lower end high volume mats I will need for production. I do not plan on going after high value moons I will not be able to defend. But after running the numbers a few reaction towers at moons with 1-2 of the lower value raw materials I will need will make a big difference in my over head.
If you give me even part of the isk you say you are looking to hand out, I will not waste it on high value ships that will get blown up, or lose it by pursuing careless ventures that were not well planed out. You worked long and hard to build up your wealth in this game and I will respect your legacy and consider the effort and time you spent acquiring it with each venture I invest it into. I truly enjoy EVE for its complexity, and put a lot of thought into each venture I pursue before committing resources to ensure that even if it does not work out I can at least break even. I will use it wisely and do my best to make it grow. If you ever do decide to return to the game in the future I would consider this money an investment to be paid back with interest. If you do not, once I have established my own empire and made my own fortune I will pass this gift along to another worthy player to help them in the same way. |
