Hey,
Can you guys recommend a Computer calendar? I'm currently browsing my ...social... downloading sites to try out stuff and see what I like in calendars, but I can't really say that I've found what I'm looking for so far.
I like the layout and idea of Sunbird. I can't see how one of those small desktop calendars can fulfill my needs.
I'd like a calendar in which I an code in my school-classes (or at least when im in school), but lock it / color it. The problem I had with sunbird was, that if I had an appointment just after school, Id often hit the edge of the school-box and drag it. I couldnt assign individual colors to each category neither, I like using colors for stuff like that to make it overall easier to find specific events (training sessions, meetings).
I'd also like some kind of system which I could fill with assignments, and then itd list them after priority/expiring date. Havent found this in any system yet, but that really would be neath. ----------

May I suggest you take a look at Google Calendar?
I have no idea how good or bad it is as I've never used it (or any other calendar application that does not consist of piles of post-it notes littering the surroundings of my desktop, as I'm too disorganized to do otherwise), but I've been using for some time a few of Google's online applications and I'm pretty happy with them.
The main benefit is that I can access feeds, bookmarks, notes, documents, etc... no matter where I am or the computer I'm using - and I tend to use different computers from time to time - as well that I don't have to worry about backups or data migration.

the Palm desktop for palm handhelds is a free download. Have to go to ther website, get a calendar, contacts, memos, to-do list and all sorts of stuff. Very easy to use.
The aim of politics is to keep the populace alarmed and clamorous to be saved by menacing it with imaginary hobgoblins. The urge to save humanity is a false front for the urge to rule it. |
