Okay, I've seen both of these items for sale in escrow fairly frequently and it seems they are both fairly valuable.
First, I was wondering what purpose these items have. I assume they fall into the category of trade goods, but judging by their price I'd guess they serve some function? maybe special agent missions? or will NPCs just pay more for them in different regions? If I want to partake in the trade or use of said "goods" how do I get involved?
And secondly, what are typical price ranges for each (low purchase price-high selling price). Just curious what the possible profit margin of such an activity could bring.
I guess another part of this is Role play related. I would guess the slaves are part of the Amarr slave trade. If I chose to "free slaves" is there any profit in this or even say a way to gain faction support from another group (like minmitar)?
thanks for any info, I'm completely clueless at the moment but it seems like an interesting aspect of the game.

If I remember correctly slaves are useless and homeless can be used in some fashion by research agents. This is based on what other people have said however and as I have no research agent I am unable to try it out.

Edited by: Severus Trajan on 25/03/2004 12:16:06 Actually slaves are also useful for certain research agent missions. My agent looking into Laser Physics had a period during which he asked for several batches of slaves.
Lord knows what he was doing with those poor fellas, but technology must advance, alas.
Oh, and I believe Science Graduates are also asked for sometimes.

You wouldn't be one of those fringe Amarrians that OPENLY sympathize with the minmatar race would you? If so... Congrats just watch out for those Zealot Amarrians looking to kill you. From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

Often times a Caldari R&D agent will ask for Homeless people for use as test subjects, just as Gallente used Cows, Amarr used Slaves and Minmatar used....prisoners?

We keep the "slaves" we freed in the warmth of our hangars until CCP opens a place where they can be brought to and find their way back to their families. Homeless are used for R&D projects as mentioned already, if you do not care about their fate - hand them to your R&D agent or sell them to R&D mission runners. This would make you a slaver, though, or something like that. ____________________________________________________

I have about 200 homeless hanging around in my hangar from courier missions for Quafe. There's one type of mission where you get paid to transport them from one station to another, but they don't like their new home and rather stay in your hangar
Since I can't seem to sell them anywhere, and I don't have the heart to drop them into the garbage chute or jettison them into space, I guess I'll be stuck with them forever

Slaves you get from doing navy missions "Kill the rogue slaver" for example. ____________________________________________________
