Hi EVE Development Team, All The Best for the beginning.
Problem: I prepay my game time so it will be fear I suppose to allow me switch skills training via 'My Character' link. If I have cell or communicator with I-net access and ability to view my char(s) progress, but it would be great in case of ability to change skills to learn.
Aim: To manage skill training time and char's needs more carefully and efficient.
Suggestion: 1) to show learned (+ in progress) skills and skills which can be learned (char have all requirements to start learning) as it is in game. 2) To add a controls to change skills learned at the moment.
So I do not offer you to make queue of skills to be learned but one more auth(!!) method of time management.
P.S. Dear CCP Team, if you interested in direct contact with other ideas please contact my via ingame mail.

Is it really not important for people to manage skills' learning via site? It's good alternative to queue or leaving account on young brother\pal.
On vacation, from office etc you able to manage skills - not need to use long skills all the offline time- more efficient learning.
Access from mobile, PDA, office PC, i-net caffee - from everywhere there are no client can be installed.

I agree with this idea. A way to change skills through a normal web browser would be a major boon to some players.
Speaking as a Tiscali user, it is very annoying when you cannot access eve for most of the time that you are at home. A way of changing skills online would solve this problem and allow more people to fight against Tiscali rather than leaving EVE.

Zenith, Thanks for my idea supporting.
Maybe someone can note something about this topic? Are you agree with this feature?

I also agree with being able to change skill trains via the web. For people who work or go on vacation this makes it much easier then having to boot up the game to flip a skill train over. I have wanted to see this idea come into effect for a long time. Surprised it hasn't happen yet.

Agree with that. Is also can partly compensate time wasting with not fully wide enough and stable i-net chanel - poor quality provider, line problems, bottlenecks and wi-fi or EDGE/GPS in-net disconnecting in transport (trains for example).

If modifications were supported via the API anyone (myself included) could write some web app to handle this (assuming they didn't have the time to implement/weren't planning on it). Yes I know modifications via the API are a big scary thing due to security, but IMO it boils down to security concerns vs. the functionality benefitted.

Have to disagree. There are three reasons why. 1) Any scheduler is kind of unfear - it's in agreements and rules. 2) It's 3rd party applications - not allowed by ingame (or replacing game client!!!) kind of software. Suppose CCP is not welcome 'walkers'. 3) API is for PC\laptops. As maximum - for Win Mobile. But who will code API software for Symbian or MacOS for example? Do you? I mean for me for example main problem is to control char's improvement via browser - browsers are in all communacatiors, PDAs and so on. Or from office (9 hours (+overhours) a day in office) can't be efficient used for proper skills' learning.
And I have to agree with two things - good and bad ones: good1 ) it's very nice to use API and API software is more functional than site. It's just easier to code C\Delphi\Java than asp\php\perl for that aim (as for me only - can't say as for others). bad1 ) it's really could be unsecured.

Can't believe nobody has same problem. Only 3 people in whole EVE world?

It's pity to hear your problem.
For me it's much more nice to have that feature. I do not have access to client for about 11 hours (best variant) per workday, but have access to i-net all this time. For now I have about 6-7 skills (important for me) with 3-4 hour length till end. But day to day I having to begin to learn 1D+ skills to not wasting time at all. And before I went to bed I started skills 3-4 hours and get about 1-2 hours till and. And for now just imaging - I start learn 3 hours skill on Mon, same day enother one via site, and enother. Tue - 2-3 more short skills. Wen, Thu - I safe time by getting that important skills till weekends. Then I able to start long skill and fly all the weekend on my business with ALREADY learned skills.
For now it's all diametral - Mon-Fri = long skills (maybe not so urgent important) and short skills - on Weekends (during flying) with loosing time and without ability use they for now.

I definitely agree that there should be a way to change your skills without having to log into the client. I see no reason why ccp cant develop their own satellite program to do this. there are several ways they could accomplish this including a flash interface or just a stripped down .exe that people could easily download and run on any computer. I love eves skills system its right up there with final fantasy tactics, but it's too inconvenient and sometimes impossible to keep your skills training especially if you have other responsibilities like a job or family. I don't think you should "Take a hit" in your skill training in eve because you have a job or because you have family obligations and i think the current system actually encourages you to shirk those responsibilities in order to keep up with skill training.
PS CCP I am a 3d/graphic artist with some programming and flash experience, i would love the chance to contribute to your cause.

Actually, in my case, it's a more direct problem: The laptop I carry on my extensive travels doesn't allow me to train skills because I can't log into the EVE client. I used to carry a larger laptop, but these days I have to go as small as possible (250k/miles/yr in a plane is the suck).
I don't buy the security argument; with Full vs Partial access API keys and the possibility of a CCP-only executable, I don't see this as being a real challenge.
I also don't buy the cost argument: As long as the account is current skill training shouldn't be a problem.
Just want to add my voice as a relatively new EVE player to this request. I've had my account for a few months and after spending a lot of ISK on Implants and Learning skills I am only now just starting to be able to fly the ships I want to fly. Being able to train "remotely" would solve a big problem for me (calling a friend at 2 in the morning his time and asking him to log on to my account is not the best way to solve this).

I'm for this, on the condition that they use this instead of implementing a training queue. Players away for any length of time need something.
